If you take your dominate hand and curl your thumb into your palm and squeeze it will allow you to have a better control of gag reflex, the most ive taken to the base was about 7-8 inches but that was my max and would likly puke if I did it for a length of time. I personally like using my hand at the same time to give the feel of deep throating while saving myself the ache.
