Im heading to thailand in June, just wondering if any1 has any advice on the ladyboys over there and the whole scene.....

i know that disease is very much an issue over there, but beyond that! any tricks or tips?..

Hey,
If you are going to Bangkok you will find the best ladyboys there. Go to Nana Entertainment Plaza.
There is a bar there called Obsessions this has the best tgirls anywhere. There is also a couple other ladyboy bars in the Nana plaza, Temptations and Cascade but Obsessions is the best one.
Not sure where you are staying but I would suggest the dynasty inn grande for a first timer.

It is nice and near Nana plus they allow up to 2 guests at a time with no charge.

Nana Plaza has dozens of lady bars too where you will find all sorts of amazing girls. You will also see lots of girls on the street that are awesome but the ones that work in the bars are safer since they want to keep their jobs and get tested to work in these places generally. Disease in Thailand isn't that bad it is really just a rumour that it is really bad, check the world stats. Just play safe and you will be fine. The drug store across from Nana Plaza is very good and you can buy good viagra there without at prescription if you desire.

Pattaya is about 2 hours south of Bangkok and is definitely worth checking out for a couple days.
You will find more ladyboys on Walking street at night than anywhere on earth. However Pattaya is a little less structured that Bangkok and most of the tgirls are freelance work the street or bars. They often do not work for the bars.
In Pattaya you will find girls and tgirls that are less professional that Bangkok, they are often from poorer families and looking for a boyfriend/daddy more than just a client.

The other thing I would suggest checking out is the soapy massages. Just ask at your hotel they can tell you where to go. Also you can get great thai massages everywhere for about $10 per hour.
These are great but just go for the massage, save the other stuff for the professionals. The soapy massage is a full package deal however.

That's a little bit of a falacy.
If you look at the world stats Thailand is in the middle of the pack as far as diseases go. In fact in the bars where the girls work it is more regulated than in Canada where working girls are never forced to get tested unless they work with some agencies. In Thailand the best girls have to be tested and treat clients very well to continue to work in these bars.

If you specifically talk about Thailands red light districts, well sure the rates would be higher. However this could be said by any concentration of sex workers.

Just play very safe and you will be fine.

I am with Craig on this play safe there will be no problem. I have friend who have lived in Pattaya for almost 5 years and he told me same thing girls are great and if you get the right girl you will have the best time of your life.
