  • Where To Live?

I am posting a poll to find out where you guys (clients) think the best place to live in Toronto is? I am looking for places now and I want to find the best part of GTA to get a place in.

    Downtown?
    West End?
    North End?
    East End?

    Thanks
    Tasha

"The lights are much brighter there..."

I can't imagine anyone choosing to live anywhere other than downtown.
There is always something to do within walking or TTC distance, it would appear to be safer than the outer communities, and the scenery is an interesting mix of genres and periods.
You can keep the ranch split levels and grassy lawns. I'll take the concrete canyons any day.

What are your wants and needs?

Hi there and good luck on your search. Can you give us a little info in terms of some of the things you would want or need and then hopefully some of us in our respective areas can let you know what you'll find.

For example are any of the following important...

        highway access
        TTC access
specific restaurants (I'm not much of a cook, this was a biggie for me)
expensive area or not so expensive
        cultural influences

I, for example, live on the border of North York and Scarborough. It is cheap, great access to highways and decent access to Sheppard Subway line. Has plenty of pubs and coffee shops within walking distance and is quite cheap as the buildings are much older. But, one also has to hold their nose occassionally as some ethnic food smells in the hallway can be a turn off.

So what are you looking for?
        Smoke'em if ya gottem!

          Thanks guys...

I am looking for a working apartment. Somewhere close for clients and somewhere they do not have to travel to far to get to me. Somewhere that is not over priced.

Let me clear, I am only comming back for the summer and only comming back to work...so this is a work apartment only. I will not be living in it full time, so it does not have to be huge and fancy. Just clean and private.

          Thanks

There was for some years a very successful GG incall (Muddy's) near the Bloor and Roncesvales subway station. That's in the west also near some nice bars like the Bang Bang. Friends of mine used to pop over there by subway at lunch time. I think the key is to be on the subway. But likely downtown is best. There should be a sublet available in the Yonge and Bloor or Jarvis and Bloor area.

            Good luck!

West end...like really really West end. I think the suburb is called Manitoba. Houses are cheap, guys are horny. If you can get past the flooding, cold, and mosquitos it's lovely.
