I began seriously exploring my femme side in November 1991, which also coincides with the release of U2's brilliant '90s re-invention, "Achtung, Baby". I was aware of this at the time, and I credit the album with reinforcing my desires to change myself, to re-invent myself, if you will. To embrace facets of my personality and being that I had previously kept hidden. I turned those feelings outward, which is what U2 did with the record. It also was cool to see the band donning drag in the "One" video:

My point to this is simply there are times in life when events align and herald significant change afoot. This was one of those times for me. I have also had magnificent sex to the "Achtung, Baby" CD. It is a fantastic album to be fucked to!!!
