Welp, I did it. After 4 years of saving up the cash to make it happen, I've finally put my debut album together.
I'd like to thank Steven for giving me a head start in the business, Rvince for showing me how to sustain a successful career working at the Internet and of course all of the fans who were kind enough to chuck some bread my way every once in a while so's I could buy all the fancy guitars, keyboards, monitors, software, etc that helped my songs see the light of day.
About the album: It's called, "Totally Not Completely Unfake" and it's made up of 21 tracks all of which are available for free to download - A tangible version of the album will be made available very soon for very cheap - more about that when I get the shipment back from the factory. Anywho, the music is basically pop/rock that is somewhat divorced from youth culture - in other words; it's weird.
If Billy Joel & Joan Jett had a kid and that kid grew up to write really amazing songs, and then I came by and did really crappy cover versions of those songs - that's what it's like. Also, They Might Be Giants.
You can hear everything in real time and read the lyrics and junk here. You can also check the individual songs out below... most are around 5megs as I encoded all the mp3s at the highest bit rate possible (320 kbps)
Here's the run down...
1. "She Doesn't Like Boys" - A song for all my fellow freaks.
2. "On My Way To The Store" - Probably the best track on the album.
3. "Chatsworth" - A song about former porn actress, Megan Murray. Also me.
4. "Some Assembly Is Required" - A boy and his robot take on the world.
5. "That One Time Upstairs" - Dumb love song.
6. "Regret" - Retarded love song.
7. "Fatty Arbuckle" - Once the highest paid actor in Hollywood. Now, dead.
8. "NCC1701D" If you don't get the reference, this song isn't for you.
9. "You Have friend At Work" - I like this one.
10. "The Lawn Of The World" - Like astronomy? So does the guy in this song.
11. "Sometimes You Win" - Junior High doesn't have to suck so bad.
12. "Dress" - Sometimes you just have to wear one.
13. "Romero's Head" - Zombies. Lots of zombies.
14. "Drag You" - The guy in this song wants to end your shit. With knives and guns.
15. "Journey To The Center Of 1982" - No friggin' clue.
16. "Bike" Were you ever 12? Own a bike? Break your face by mixing the two?
17. "megan17nicole" - Lame love song.
18. "Big Oil" - Dinosaurs.
19. "Woodland Hills" - Reprise of track 3.
20. "Nice Place To Be" - Loosely based on the novel, "Bid Time Return".
21. "Twenty One" - A song from the bartenders perspective.
Let me know what ya'll think.
I'm gonna go back to getting naked and poked and junk. J.
