I received a call from a client today and he informed me that there was a rumor circulating about me. The rumor is that I am making life difficult for girls who travel to Calgary, that I call the cops on them.
I would like to say to everyone that this is categorically not true. I feel that actions such as these would come back to haunt me as girls would seek revenge. I have a live-and-let-live attitude with a few notable exceptions. I would never call the cops on anybody unless they attacked me and I could not defend myself. That in itself is very unlikely to happen.
To use other words, I do not own the City of Calgary. Whoever wants to go there and work can do so. Nobody needs to apply to me for permission or worry that I am going to call the cops on them when they show up.
Calgary, Edmonton, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat are cities in Alberta that do, to some degree, attempt to curb prostitution-related activities. Both the City and LE are engaged in efforts along these lines. They are not the safest places to work for escorts.
Part of the rumor was that the "proof" that I was indeed calling the cops was that, in my ads, I posted my license. That is insane. I post my liense in my advertisement because it is a requirement of the Calgary Escort Bylaw. Girls who travel to Calgary and work there as escorts and do not have a license are doing so illegally. They stand a risk of getting huge fines if they are caught. But why would that be a concern to me - they are adults and they can make their own decisions. As for me, I decided to work legally and so I have obtained a license. I abide by the rules to avoid trouble with LE and the City.
I am not a Drama Queen. As a matter of fact, I keep very few shemale friends because I find that, as a rule, they are far too jealous and pernicious a bunch for my taste. No offense meant to anyone specifically. I just would rather be friends with people who are of a like mind. However, I would like to take this opportunity to offer advice or help to any girl who wants to come to Alberta. I know the bylaw and the rules. I understand the attitude of LE. I have already helped so many girls in this way. To say that I call the cops on girls is hurtful and I don't want to be portrayed in that light. I am polite and reserved unless I am attacked.
If I have another comment to make, it is that the industry is undergoing some important and sweeping changes. We are in a time of transition and everyone will be adjusting their perpective sooner or later. The internet has changed everything and is continuing to transform the industry. Not only are the clients and the girls affected but LE and government are as well. We will see where the dust settles once everything stabilizes. In the meantime, there is no need to spread rumors about me - I did not bring about these changes. I am a happy person and I don't call the cops on people.
