Well a private club requires a membership, so this is not a public establishment. So it is a private club where men go to have sex. Live sex shows are just an organized form of this.
I know Goodhandy's has some of these type of things on special nights but not often or ever with tgirls.
They were doing live sex broadcasts on the televisions from the back room.
However I think Goodhandy's has a public bar license of some kind.
Then the diamond club is the private membership part of it.
You don't need a membership to go to Goodhandy's proper.
This private sex club you need a membership.
I can see that Remingtons cannot compete as a public establishment because they can never offer the same thing, unless they go private.
In a way not too much different that going to a bath house.

That is a form of sexual discrimination! Take it to the HRC
I agree with Crag here and I predict it will be around for some time but possibly in another location in the city if the prissy neighbors are able to round up some support for their position.
These types of private clubs are alive and have been for years in other cities e.g. there are well established swinger clubs in most large cities in N. America at least, and probably a lot of other places worldwide.
They have been legally operating in Canada since 2005 and I doubt that the legislation mentions the various kinds of activities that may take place inside their closed doors. After all remember Trudeau's assertion that the government has no place in the nations bedrooms!

I have been to Remingtons with tgirls before, because it is non-offensive to me , as there is just dancers going on. I can sit there and have a beer and not feel uncomfortable, even though I wouldn't normally go there alone.
If it was a club with just a bunch of men having sex everywhere, I don't think I would be comfortable. Guaranteed I would be pressured to have sex with many. So these are totally different types of establishments.
Gay men have proven they like to gather for group sex more than any other group around. This is actually true of all men, but straight men have a much harder time talking women into it.
With Toronto's massive gay population and with the relaxing of sex laws, this will become more common.
Toronto is already known for being a gay destination and you will see this industry grow I am sure.
You may see people start to get upset when Toronto becomes "The Gay Place To Be" and there is many clubs like this.
