  • escorting in Toronto, what to know?

    Hi there

So Im new to escorting and have read up on it and from what I understand its pretty legal as long as you do certain things, such as...
    -only do outcall
-no soliticating guys (let them come to u)
    -no sex in public places
    -no working the streets
-no sharing hotel rooms with other working t girls
-list all your info/services/donations on your site so it never needs to be discussed on the phone or in person

Now, does the city need us t girls to get permits?

And there any way we can legally do incall??
The idea of running around the city for outcalls is insane.
And if I did outcalls, what fines are we talking in Toronto? any jail time?

I'd consider talking to a good criminal lawyer with experience in human rights and case law regarding prostitution. Such a individual would not be able to tell you what you could do but they could make you aware of certain things that can and cannot be done by authorities in regards to trying to enforce anything in the CC dealing with prostitution.

It's money well spent and research your lawyer, do a consult and then spend the time to talk to them..

It is essential that you do not say the wrong thing if you are arrested and you need to know exactly how to deal with authorities that want to question you. Remember you have the right to remain silent and you best use it if and when you have to..

95+% of the time the police will be there to protect you and help you..

Cops are generally like everyone else.. some make for kinky clients too..

Generally you want to keep your practices hush hush..

Rule #1: Always have a spotter unless it's a client that you trust with your life..

This way there's someone that knows who attacked you if it ever happens..

Security is cheap and you need to find a guy or girl you trust.. pay them $25-30/h for their time..

Rule #2: Make the client aware that there is security. This will prevent you from being murdered..

Me and my GF work together or we have other girls we know and guys we trust, never work alone..

Cops and laws are not what you need to worry about, they can help you..

Rules me and several girls live by daily..

It has been my experience that practically all the Toronto girls do incall so I'm thinking it must be pretty safe and legal.

I agree with what you say Ray, that incall use by escorts is very common, pretty safe and quite the norm in Canada but, since Candy is new, I'd suggest that she should always be mindful that it is technically illegal. The remote possibility of a Common Bawdy House charge was discussed here earlier.

I think Alexis DVine's advice that she keep mention of her services more or less low key would be appropriate! If Candy's working alone and not bothering any neighbours there's little chance (probably infinitesimal) of her running into trouble of that nature.

As has been reported here recently there is also the issue of licensing if she is intending to work in some of the Western cities.

If the police want to nail you for something...they will. Just ask Al Capone. He could have been charged with tons of things, but in the end it was not Murder, Extortion or Bootlegging Liquor that got him. He got nailed on Tax Evasion. The key is the word "WANT". DO NOT GIVE THEM A REASON.

Toban is right. Want to avoid the police? Simple. Do not draw attention to yourself. Ask any drug dealer or member of organized crime. The easiest way of not drawing Police attention is to stay low key. Careful with the amount of people coming and going from your place, the noise level, late calls, don't work the street, etc. The easiest way to get caught, is a phone call to the police from a neighbour. So don't piss off the neighbours.

There presently are a lot of loopholes in the Law. Make an appointment with a lawyer and have him explain what you can or cannot do. This will inform you on not only the Law, but your rights. Like Alexis said previously, saying the right thing can be the key. A lawyer will inform you what to say. Ask him about entrapment. Could help.

In Quebec, the Laws are different then Ontario and they harder on the girls here. For this reason I have full time legal representation. As this is costly, I would not recommend this as an option. But a 1/2 hour or 1 hour meeting with a lawyer KNOWLEDGABLE in this area would be your best bet.

As for personal safety, I believe in Dogs. BIG ONES. My Rottweiler "Zeus" patrols my home. He is professionally trained with a Kill word. Most of the time he is within 5-8 ft of my clients and they never know he is there.
