I will be in Toronto May 17thy, 18th and 19th. I've never been to Goodhandy's but want to go. Can anyone help me with some info on the following....

Is there a dress code for guys and what would be reasonable attire to wear?

What time would be the best time to get there?

I've read that most guys tend to be laid back when there, at least that's what some of the girls have posted. As a 50 year old non dancing guy, what would be the best approach to meet and talk with the girls. Keep in mind, I have no idea what the place even looks like inside. Is it filled with tables and a dance floor or more of a bar and a place for dancing?

Is it more of a social type setting like in any bar or would it be more of a strip club atmosphere where guys hang out and then approach a girl they are interested in and then pay the going rate for a lap dance if that's what they were inclined to want?

Forgive me for being so naive about goodhandy's but I've heard a lot of great things about the place but I can't seem to put the whole picture together on what to expect.

You're arriving on Thurs? That's the nite to go.

Get there around 11PM. It's pretty laid back. There is both a bar and a dance floor but on Thurs nites the bar is where everyone hangs out. Bench style seating is available to sit and chat. Very nice ladies were there both times I've visited the club.
Some of the girls rotate dancing on a stage for tips. If you want a more intimate encounter, private dances in booths are available. When you first come in, talk to the young lady at the door, she will give you all the info you need regarding admission to not only the club but access to the booths (I've never been so can't give you first hand experience)

Most important of all? Just relax and you'll have fun

Generally casual dress is ok.
Check their website to make sure there is not a special event with special dress required.
(ie: underwear night)
Also make sure it is a tgirl night you are going to, they sometimes have swinger and gay events.

There is a bar you can stand at and there is a dance floor area with tables.
You can stand at the bar and survey the room, however I have been told girls can no longer hang at the bar.
So if that is the case you will have to move on the girls you are interested in, if you stand there.
If you hang by the dance floor there is railings there to set your drink on.
There is other areas upstairs including a private "swing" room.

Otherwise almost all the girls are working, so they will approach you for the most part.
If you see someone you particularly like you should make the move first so you don't get involved with someone you don't like,
and also so they don't take off on you.
Don't feel obligated to one girl, just because they approach you.
Choose who YOU like.

It was my first time there a few weeks ago, go on a Thursday, Tuesdays are dead, only go on Thursdays. When you first arrive hang at the bar, there are a few scantily clad vultures there who will swoop down on you before you've barely had a sip. My advice is to politely decline, the night really picks up after 11pm, so wait until you see someone you like. Occasionally someone will ask you out of the blue to buy them a very expensive drink, just say no.

Avoid people like Bambi (another vulture) who is always there it seems, shes good to look at but strictly business. You can tell she really hates her job.
