Homeless transgendered woman murdered in Rome honored by Jesuits

Rome, Italy (CNN) -- Andrea Quintero was described by those who knew her as a gentle soul and a devout Catholic.
Transgendered and homeless, she left Colombia for Italy in search of a society that could accept her for who she was -- a man who felt like a woman.
But in Rome it was no different. In fact it was worse. She said her paralyzed arm and prominent limp were evidence of the regular beatings she endured as a drifter at Rome's main railway station. Despite the abuse, she hoped for better.
"I dream of meeting a boy that has money and that will allow me to leave such a terrible life," Andrea said in an interview with an Italian newspaper.....

That is entirely heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time. I have a friend whose transgendered daughter is being barred from her catholic school. They are involved in a lawsuit. I talked to him just before Christmas to voice my support for his daughter and their cause.

I hope none of us can stand by and let this kind of abuse persist.

This clearly shows the extreme brutal hatred alot of men have towards their own gender that they are at war with(yup, take a look at the history of all wars, its always men against men as they turn against each other), that is why these fascist hate f's don't accept a pretty and sensuous transgender woman because she is part male which is partly the gender of these "force men to go down in sinking ship" self gender destroyers. Sorry for these extremely aggressive words but it certainly fits this brutal hate crime committed by alot of men and those are the types of words they deserve. Certainly not words like "oh its not a big deal, men will be men".

It is showing how the Catholic Church, at it's source, recognized that she was a human.
And that she should be treated with respect no matter what her supposed sins.
That they gave her the respect of addressing her as female at her funeral.

A Catholic mass was held in her memory.And then something happened that stunned those inside the church.Throughout the mass, the priest acknowledged Andrea as a 'She'."Up until this point we haven't been acknowledged by the Catholic Church," said Vladimir Luxuria, a transgendered activist who attended the funeral. Ok I read it all. It stunned the people in the church that the priest acknowledged the transgender as a she. Finally a very nice priest who doesnt discriminate and recognises if you are or look more female than male, you should be addressed as female. And its not only "we see you the way you feel you are" its also "we see you the way you really are". If you look or are far more female than male in face,voice and body, youre a woman. My brother and sister got a little surprised that im seeing shemales and I keep on telling them theyre women dont be prejudice.

Its pretty amazing that a religion started by a guy who healed the "unclean", is now making "progress" by treating trans* people like people. #sarcasm

Sad to hear about anyone having such a hard life. When Jesus comes back, I doubt he's going to church!
