  • Rupaul's Transphobic Faux Pas or Prevalent Attitude Amongst Gay/Drag Culture

Never mind Jared Leto it pales in comparison to Rupaul's ongoing use of transphobic slurs on his show and then defending
those slurs when challenged. It's sad that the gay/drag community, who for years have fought the notion that they have chosen
to be gay and that therefore they can choose to be straight. Would have the prevalent notion that trans women choose to be that way and are in most cases just gay men with mental issues. He once made a joke that the difference between a drag queen and a trans person is ?about $25,000 and a good surgeon.?

It is clear that Drag Queens are gay men, who dress up for performances only. As compared to trans women who live their lives 24/7 as women in various stages of transition. But Rupaul wants to perpetuate the transphobic slurs and perceptions of trans women by upholding and defending the use of the terms "tranny" or "shemale" . For someone in the LGBT community, who has a very public show viewed by the LGBT community and mainstream you would think he would be more conscientious about his remarks but apparently not.

I suppose now that he's made his money, he can crap on people.

I have little, to no respect, for anyone like that. You know...they start off struggling and then, when they reach some level of success that allows them to be independent, they become major jerks, acting like selfish, cruel, spoiled, rotten brats who care not for others' feelings. Almost like a tyrant who rules without law, looks to his own advantage rather than that of his subjects, and uses extreme and cruel tactics - against his own people as well as others.

People like that usually have a bunch of "yes people" on hand who do nothing but stroke the person's hugely inflated ego, and no matter what stupidity the person speaks from atop their soap box, the followers all agree with it just because the person has a bit of power.

Oh, did i get off topic? LOL! Sorry.
