Is that a town?
or do you mean vaughn st. in Calgary?
It doesn't ring a bell.

Well if you mean Vaughn st. just off of Deerfoot Trail.
Deerfoot trail is basically a freeway that runs North and South directly through Calgary.
If you are on Vaughn St. it is closer to the airport but still more central than other parts of Calgary.
It is at the intersection of the trans canada highway and deerfoot trail so there is easy access for anyone to get there.
Basically you are in amongst the airport hotels.
You are not really near too much but there is several large shopping malls a short cab ride away.
Downtown is probably a 15 minute drive.
Probably not the best location for a vacation but good and accessible.
Without a car probably not much nearby.

Probably not ideal for entertaining.
It is generally really hard to get very far fast in Calgary due to the fast growth of the city.
They didn't plan for it and some places traffic just gets choked.
