  • A Scholarly Study on MEN who have sexual relations with T-Girls (rare)

    Now this is rather interesting:

There are many studies on transgenderism, Gender dysphoria and just gender in general. We've all read Judith Butler (I hope) and the debates revolving in contemporary Queer theory. What is interesting here is a study on the MEN who have sexual relations with M-F Trans woman. It is always those who identify as something non cis-normative that end up having studies done on them... Well, now it's our turn gentlemen . Admitted in the article is that this type of study has seldom been conducted.

This mainly focusses on New York and uses Trish Mars' Club Topaz as part of the study.

Article is a little dense at the beginning but stick with, it's quite interesting to be part of a sexual demographic being looked at . Might be interesting for the girls here to finally get to read a study on US. I think it's high time that a study like this was done as it seems always to be those who transgress the "norm" who "must" be studied...

Anyway, I hope others find this fascinating. As I said, it's a little dry at first but stick with it, these are the things that create better understanding and provide insight.

    Very interesting indeed!

Yes, the early pages laying out the details and parameters of the study might have been omitted as far as I was concerned but the data from the participant's interviews is very telling. While I didn?t find any of the individual case studies mirrored my own situation, I did feel some definite communion with several of them.

Some dribs and drabs of my own story have been revealed here over the past 10/12 years. Had I been a participant in this study I believe that I?d have given the authors the opportunity to add one more category of MSTW to their study!

Thanks Mark, for bringing this to our attention. I enjoyed reading it, well, the latter part anyway!

      It's a start I guess

I completely agree with the first part as I found myself going back and re-reading lines that in the end were of no significant interest to me.
I was really hoping as well that the article would have interviewed someone such as myself as I found that there are a number of men including myself, on this site that fall into a category that wasn't mentioned in the article and at the end was still asking myself "why". Nonetheless, something is better than nothing when it comes to information on what makes US tick. A good find and a good start for sure.
