So I posted a long time back, about this movie and asked if anyone knew when it might come out, as it had been in the works for a long time. I finally got around to watching it because it's finally out. I have to say, I'm quite impressed. Leaving Vogue Moran is about a guy named Wayne, who is by most peoples point of view, a "tranny chaser." He loves trans women specifically but spent years just sleeping around. He's trying to get to a point where he can find someone to be in an actual relationship with. In the process, Wayne wants to tell his father that he is a trans attracted man but is afraid of his fathers reaction. In the end, he tells his dad and his fathers reaction is the total opposite of what EVERYONE seemed to be expect.
Wayne's dad was incredibly accepting and by the end of their conversation, I had a few tears in my eyes. His mother is extremely loving and a very sweet woman. His whole family seems to be full of great people. Wayne seems like a good guy who's just been confused for a very long time and the fact that he has tried to become a better man, is great. The opening lines of the movie are "this is a story about a douche bag, desperately trying NOT to be a douche bag anymore."
I hear he's been in an actual, committed relationship with a trans woman for a few years now and that they are both doing quite well together. In any case, I strongly recommend checking this out if you have the chance.
