  • Question for body builders

Unlike many I love the look of female body builders hard bodies.
At present I am searching for the right gym to join.
With so many out there to choose from it is hard to know which ones are money grabbers and
which ones actually help its club members.
Im not talking about a little cardio here, my goals are quite high.
Love to hear from you body builders.

Apparently there are woman body builders that work out with shemales
They can be seen at some of the competitions I've been told
( though I don't think they can join the competetion )
Seems like a pretty natural peer fit on so many levels

I assume its not so common place in toronto.
I would enjoy taking in that atmosphere.

                Re: Question for body builders

I've been training regularly for 17 years and always kept it all natural. To compete at any serious level you won't be able to keep the natural route depending what your goals are. Mine were strictly fitness and to look good on a beach. Now it has become a way of life and I could not imagine not hitting a gym 3-5 times a week. I'd be lost.

One of the best gyms I belonged to was Extreme Fitness so don't hesitate if there is one near you. They do have a hard sales approach but once you get past it, the equipment and people are great. All gyms seem to have their niche so shop around. Most will let you try it for a week for free. They will all try to push a personal trainer on you right away. Before signing up, enquire if they have a trainer with your interests (bodybuilding) or if you can bring your own trainer. What would it cost to bring a trainer? For membership, I can't imagine paying more than $40.00 - $70.00 a month for any membership. Pretty cheap if it is something you enjoy. They can't force you to take any of their other services. If you are new to training, take it slow, go 2-3 times a week. Too many people jump in with all the enthusiasm and after a few months they quit. Gradually work up to how many times a week and how long you want to train. As far as trainers go, there is a use for them at the beginning if you are new. Once you understand the equipment, grouping body parts, sets, reps intensity, you can start planning your own routines. They are great for change and motivation. So you know, 75-90% of fitness is diet. So be prepared to stop eating the good foods. LOL.

Any questions you have are welcome.

                  Re: Question for body builders

Finally have a gym I like and working out daily, 2x daily on the weekends
the diet is a bit tricky, 6 low cal meals a day, starting to feel like 7 of 9

its a good feeling and a great routine to get into
I should be ready for summer bikini fun in the sun
Im working on my legs, glouts and cardio for now and will move on to
getting that 6 back rock hard.
Too bad I cant do a photo shoot there, that would be a blast
Nothin' like seeing me all hot and bothered.
                  "just do it"
                  great motto

Working out is good, but nutrition is the key
6 meals a day can be difficult. There are times when you dont really feel like eating.
I suppose it takes time to reset your bodies mechanisms to adjust.
From what Ive been told, 6 meals a day is the way to go.
My goal right now is 1800 cal per day so I try to target each meal for 300 cal.
Thats a meal every 3 hours
                      basically I do this:

meal 1) power shake (balanced meal replacement) (300 cal.)
meal 2) power bar (300 cal.)
meal 3) stir fry ( half a chicken or turkey breast) veggies to taste in low cal wrap or pita (300 cal.)

------- 30 mins workout with weights plus 30 mins cardio ( total 1 hour work out )
meal 4) power shake (300 cal.) --- also good idea to add in some fibre supplement ie* Metamucil
------- Load it up with your favorite fruits for increased carbs that you burn off during your work out.

meal 5) stir fry ( half a chicken or turkey breast) veggies to taste in low cal wrap or pita (300 cal)
------- ( If Im restless and up to it I go and do another 30 mins of either high or low intensity cardio)
meal 6) Protein shake (300 cal.) keep the carbs lower--- also good idea to add in some fibre supplement ie* Metamucil

**Important** on this kind of strict diet to do your multi vitamins also**
**If your stuck for meal 3 or 5 jump over to Subway. Get a *half* roasted chicken on whole wheat. no cheese, no sauces and load up on the veggies.
**also important is lots of water try for 2 to 4 bottles a day
**if one of your meals comes short you can always grab a low cal yogurt, or piece of fruit or a handful of trailmix
just keep in mind 1 medium sized banana is 100 cal.
Check on line I found this http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk...ie_counter.htm
I dont know how accurate it is but you may find this handy.

Im sure there are many variables. Tuna is a good protein source also
Right now Im am trying to work out at the gym as much as possible to lean out. so you would think
low carb all the way. I think this is fine if you are not working out, but I have noticed at times
I get a carb lag. So I think a good balance between protein and carbs is going to be needed in my case.
Keep in mind 1800 cal. is a typical female target, males may require 2000-2200 cal. It all depends on your goals and what you do to get there.

**body builders tend to go for way more carbs because of the extensive training that eats up carbs
This applies to after meal work outs. Typically use Protein to build muscle, lean your body out.
**when body builders compete they have usually switched to a almost all protein diet, this gives their bodies the cut and contours but reduces their strength for preshow work outs.
**for a lean body shoot for working out and a more balanced 50% protein and 20-30% carb mix
**your brain gets its energy from carbs so if you go super low carb high protien you may experience fatigue and dizziness.
**you should eat fish at least 3 times a week. You can always swap out chicken for fish.
**This diet is not intended for long term use. It is for reducing your body fat. Once you have reduced your body fat to an acceptable level you can judicially reintroduce some other foods youve left out of your diet.

Hope that helps, and would love to hear from the rest of you health guys out there
Summer time is around the corner. Time to get fit
                      xoxo
                      S

                      PS:
For a change and to bring some fish into meal 3 or 5 try this:

1 tin of flaked white tuna in water
                      chopped green onions
                      chopped red pepper
half to 1 tea spoon of ( all natural ) peanut butter

mix in a bowl to a pate
now spread it on 2 or three rice cakes

add some steam veggies ( i like asparagus or broccoli )
this is for some carbs and fibre

                        Re: Question for body builders

I want to add. Please note that if you would like to follow a similar diet you will need to work out hard as well.
I am now going to the gym twice daily, so I am working off 600-800 calories there alone.
If you dont or cant work out you can still go with a 6 meal plan but you will have to lower you carb intake.
My plan is a balanced plan 50 protein 30 carbs and 20 fats
If your not working out youll want to switch this to 70 protein 20 carbs and 10 fats
Eat chicken until you cluck. No pop, no booze and yes that includes wine.

So gentlemen, if your wanting to see me. Please call between 12 noon and 6pm to schedule your evening appointment with me otherwise Ill be getting ready to go to the gym instead of getting ready to make your night.
                        xoxo
