  • Blood in Semen

Hi Everyone. That is an attention grabber of a headline. Want to ask if anyone has experienced this.
Condition is called hematospermia. Basically, blood is mixed in with sperm.

If it is but a one time thing it?s probably insignificant but if it comes to be a regular occurrence it could then be an indicator of serious problems, even testicular cancer, so it's worth getting it checked out.

        Diagnosis?

Sounds like your head gasket has been blown and you are leaking oil into your Manifold

Could be a sign of Prostate or Bladder problems, can't hurt to have yourself checked out.

I have had three biopsies with the same, i.e. blood in my semen for about four weeks after. For the first week or so, my semen was totally blood red and my prostate ached like a "pin cushion". In a prostate biopsy, they take about a dozen of small samples. The blood in semen decreases as the prostrate heels. After the third biopsy, with no significant cancer found, my doctor determined that, my PSA (prostate specific antigen) normally runs a bit on the high side, i.e. 6-8. My Doctor has me get my PSA checked every six months now. So as long as my PSA is not above that range, no further biopsies are required which, has been over five years.

Same experience here, (but when the first test was done, I had been using aspirin fairly heavily before) but had not been warned about excessive bleeding. The aspirin made the bleeding even worse so that for a few days I was passing actual clots of blood too. Scary for sure.

The last few times were done as TRUS i.e. Trans Rectal Ultrasound where the probe, (about as big as Beyonce's probe) was inserted by the urologist while an Ultrasound tech at a monitor directs him to any suspicious areas at which time the urologist ?fires? the probe. It shoots a needle directly into that area rather than just doing it "blind" as was done before, hoping they'd hit the right spot.

The firing actually sounded a bit like a shot which made me jump. I?ve had it repeated several more times but had since switched to Tylenol so what bleeding there was, was minimal.

and that Doctor’s advice to me is what caused all of the many “unpleasant” incidents I went through to make sure that I did not have to worry about a cancerous prostate growth!!

That's quite a reward and not even a little bit disgusting and if you are a male then it is very likely that before you leave this earth that the same will happen to you too. Be ready for it!
