You have to be patient with Grindr. A lot will chicken out.
I've seen a CD many a time from there and they still chicken out every 2-3 get together.
More because they cannot get out of the house without neighbours being nosey.
As well there is a trend recently of people making fake dates to get their kicks. They usually ghost you 10 minutes before hookup time.
