Craigslist cracks down on Escorts in the USA

Craiglist is cracking down on the oldest profession.

Actually its quite ironic reading this here as a few weeks ago on 20/20 ( I think it was 20/20) they had dedicated an entire broadcast towards young teens in the trade plus solicitation on Craigslist.

The show answered the "who what where when and whys" of some girls interviewed and periodically the broadcast always referred to Craigslist, always saying how it was the one spot for everything and one of the main reasons it lured young women into the profession and a world of trouble.

It also mentioned how at the time the state of Georgia was cracking down on the site and I believe the mayor of Atlanta even went on a personal crusade to remove as many ads as possible that were listed under "encounters" within the city's section.

I wonder now about the stance in Canada and what could happen in the future. I also am curious if any ladies in the GTA have had troubles listing on the website.

I read an article on the topic recently (of which I remember little). I do recall that part of the impedus was to crack down on pimps who were forcing girls into prostitution. Human trafficking and what not.

Hey that's my state... They have actually been cracking down for a while now, but it is just starting to make headlines. About a year ago they did a sting on there with some cops posing as prostitutes and took a few people down.

I spent almost a year looking through Craigslist trying to find Trans-girls in my area as well as all over the U.S.A. But for all my looking, I only found around 5 or 6 who were real and not someone just posting B.S.
Even the Escorts listings were more fake then real. So maybe they're not Cracking down on Escorts, they're just cleaning up the garbage out of it.
