Everyone looks more attractive from certain angles. It is the responsibility of the photographer to find the best angles to shoot.
Models and most of the TGirls that I have met are very aware of their 'best looks'. It is why they spend so much time looking into mirrors.
A touch of Photoshop can also help.

That old saying above is perhaps the most important factor in operation here. What one viewer likes another may find distasteful.

I think also that it depends greatly on which area of a girls anatomy the viewer finds most interesting, whether e.g. he fantasizes about the face or butt, breasts, feet etc.
