My education is in electronics, but I just bought a new TV about a month ago so I finished my research. May as well pass on the knowledge eh?

One more thing I am going to reiterate here...

Before you buy, try!

There is a reason some of the TVs are not out of boxes on display... if they were next to another TV you would not buy one.

Ask them to tune it to something else as well just don't go by the in store advertising channel they got going, it is shared to too many TVs and has degraded.

Look at the TV with a good signal (a blu ray disc if you are inclined to go that route, or a just a DVD, bring in your own stuff if you have to)

A store that won't let you do this has something to hide.

Where I bought I had the offer to come in any time to play the source of my choice. I could even book hours they were not open (ie any night at 10pm when they close at 9) within reason.

I also went in during daytime as well as night, so I could see the difference glare made.
