This is actually a pretty big deal as it will be useable by many people who would not have been able to access it. For example there are some types of eczema where, if you have them, monkeypox (and chickenpox) are much more dangerous, and it’s even dangerous to be around someone who has been vaccinated—with the old vaccine. This goes for people with compromised immune systems generally who can’t safely get any live-virus vaccine.
I got my vaccine this morning. It was easy and simple, took less than an hour, and the side effects have been, so far, feeling a little bit fatigued.
