Look at those eyes. Seriously. Focus on those eyes and try and and look away. Not easy is it? That look she has is just saying "Right here, right now." Jessica calls Toronto her home. She is a very polite latin girl but has a fiery spark in her when she goes after what she wants. This is her 2nd appearance on the calendar.

Massiell resides in Montreal and I swear this girl just can't take a bad picture. This is a more modern glamorized pin up look. Bright skin tone, lovely outfit with pinpointed highlights and that emotion on the face, it's just so serious. Don't be fooled though she is a fun spirited girl who likes to get out about the town. Her 2nd appearance on the calendar.

Marlena can be found in Toronto. This is also her 2nd appearance on the calendar. This follow up to her first pic of her in the grass is excellent. Has that feel of her slowly breaking out of the background with that curious look about her. No need to be shy with her . Her gentleness will always make those around her happy.

Well as some of you have noticed I went away from this site for a while. I'm back for now. I know I said before I left I wanted July to be hot and scandalous but that's not going to happen because the month is pretty much up. THERE WILL BE NO MISS JULY. We will just have to look forward to August. I really don't have much to say right now except that the "printed" calendar idea is still on the shelf. Quite frankly, its likely that I may come up with another idea instead as the calendar has hit many obstacles.

This is PROOF that you can take a one color scheme and still be very very sexy. Angee lives in Toronto and this is her 2nd showing on the calendar. She still holds the title of Miss Diamond Doll of Toronto. A very friendly, warm and generous girl. Just one touch of her skin and youd be in shock by its total smoothness.

Carizma resides in Longueil, Quebec. This lady of elegance also has a spark in her to see that those she meets are happy. With an exotic look about her it's no wonder she is full of energy and has that certain charm.

My my my. Toronto's very own Mimi. Always on the go , always moving around but knows how to stop for a moment and enjoy things. She is always gracious in meeting old and new friends and she puts everyones worries at ease when in her company.

Not much going on this week. Videos are coming along and other than that I've just been relaxing and thinking about things. Sorry for the lack of a rant.

That Dove vid was too, too enlightening!

I probably do some minor adjustments on every photo I take, such as contrast, brightness, gamma etc but never do I modify the object itself. Why do they start off with a photo and then change it into something unreal? Why not just create a virtual girl, sort of like the cartoon industry does with Anime.

So Flint and Heffner have been perpetrating a hoax on us for many years. Girls don?t look like that at all. I am so disappointed now that I will cancel my subscriptions to Playboy and all other girlie magazines because now I know that the girls they show do not really exist.

Please Rants, do not do this to the pics you put in your calendars!

BTW, several of the related vids are also quite good too about showing how things are manipulated in the photographic industry.

down the rabbit hole

Lately, there have been several posts on the forum circulating around certain very provocative subjects, at least from my pespective. I appreciate your sense of beauty Rantsalot. However, Toban's response has created a strong desire in me to open Pandora's box.

Why retouch the photos? I mean, what is the reason? Someone wants to idealize the image - that's for sure! but why? I don't have all the answers here but I have alot of questions. If the human form is being sold as a "sex object", as a "thing", then doesn't it make sense to market the most idealized form of the object possible? It does not really matter who is doing this does it? I mean, it could be a magazine editor trying to maximize sales, it could be a SP trying to sell herself in the best light possible. I am just asking the question here...

So there are two different intentions for one medium. Please don't get the wrong impression - I am not criticizing what you said Toban, nor what you put together Rantsalot. I think you are seeking honesty as well as beauty. Maybe I could go one step further and say that the medium itself is a message, but that is going down a different rabbit hole altogether.

I am resisting talking directly about what's on my mind because it is just too nasty and cruel a subject to take on all at once. So what about using images to sell something? Why do we accept such a thing? Why do we close our eyes and pretend that this is "normal"?

Yes, I think you got my point exactly. All perception occurs in the mind of the perceiver. As they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". The business of photoshop alterations of photos is about appealing to some perceived ideal in the perceiver's mind so as to influence them. Beyond ideas of right and wrong, I think the artist is doing the same thing with a different goal. When we communicate in any way, aren't we engaged in the manipulation of symbols with the end of somehow influencing the perceiver's thoughts or emotions?

Maybe I should go further and propose that there is no "discernable" reality outside of the mind's conception of such a reality. I know I am distancing myself from the initial idea of a human being as a sex object but in my mind these ideas tumble and fall over each other and I try to conceive without restriction, without limitation. Thanks Rantsalot and Toban for the launch.
