  • What should I do when I go to Canada?

Going to make a trip up there some time this spring, probably Montreal as its not too long of a drive...

What's legal that we can't do in the states? Where are some "must see" places to go?

    -K.

Montreal has the best smoked meat outside of NY. Or even including NY.
      If that's what you're into...

While Montreal is a beautiful city with a great night life, (so I've heard), Vancouver is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Also, we have the nicest weather in Canada. Palm trees grow here. In fact, you can you go skiing and tan on the beach in the same day! You can also smoke a joint with the cops cause they just don't care. They tend to go after the big players while leaving the recreational user alone. In fact, we have smoking parlours where you can light up and buy munchies all under one roof.

-generally escort legally in most jurisdictions.
-smoke medical marijuana with a prescription.
-It is still illegal to smoke weed without a medical reason, however you will not be busted nearly as bad as the USA.

          Montreal
-Check out St. Catherines street strip.
          -Tour old Montreal.

Cigarettes and booze are way more expensive than the USA.
          Everything is taxed in Canada.

However Canadian men are the most hung of any country.
When I was a kid I used to bring as many cartons of Marlboro cigarettes into Canada to sell to finance my trip.

We kind of used/abused St. Cathrine's St. in fact four of my friends were deported with in 24 hours of walking st. Cathrine's St.

In most US states the cops will beat your ass and bring you to jail over smoking a joint.

I once flicked a roach at a cop walking down st C's St. He brushed it off and walked on. That will land you in jail in the states.

I wonder if I am allowed back in your country...

Cuban cigars are legal in Canada, if you can find a cigar store in USA whose willing to pay for them you might want to bring back a couple cases.

I wouldn't recommend flicking a roach at anyone let alone a cop. It's bad manners. Depending on his/her mood they could bust your ass for it anywhere in the world. I tend to go out of my way to not give the police a reason to notice me. That said, I think the drug laws in the US are draconian at best and downright vicious in their application.

I was young/drunk/stupid... We have such a negative stigma against the cops in the states, I think it was just second nature as kid to disrespect the law.

Now that I think about it the police in Quebec seemed pretty cool, although they will talk shit about you in French until they realize one member of the group speaks french and says something back.

Also Is Rx cough syrup still legal? I also just happened to find today some anti-emetic pills that I bought in Canada, but are illegal for some reason in the states.

Didn't even know I was bringing back contraband...

Aside from poutine & smoked meat, if you REALLY want to eat well you have to go to ''Au Pied de Cochon'', foie gras-centric heavy french cuisine and the chef is a carnivorous madman, it has to be seen to be believed.

                      Montreal

If you come back during the first week of July you'll enjoy the most amazing, awesome, stupendous JAZZ FESTIVAL on earth. The buzz and the visuals are second to none, and the acts are all top notch, not the mediocre acts that we get a week before here in Toronto!

My most favorite place got to be "CLUB SUPER SEX", the talent is
                      abundant and playful.

what i want to know is why you're using a 15 year old photo of GG Lady Miss Keir--famous singer of the early 1990's--as your profile pic

                        who now looks like this

is that you? if it is, you're not a TS

                            montreal yeah

                            when in montreal you must:

have a montreal smoked meat sandwich from swartz's

must go to the casino, dress code in effect.

must visit the mcgill university campus

must go to the top of the mountain (actually extinct volcano)

must have a subway ride (different system)

must go to a montreal canadians game

must go to 'old montreal' and enjoy the bistro's

                            must visit st.paul's cathedral

                            must have fun
                            according to some, not trangendered
