    what are car insurance costs?
The tgirl scene in Vancouver is substantially less than in Toronto.
The number of escorts is way less.

There is no club like Goodhandy's where tgirls hangout.
Your only choice in this respect is gay bars or trying to pick out tgirls at straight bars. However all these clubs are geared to young clientele.

In general people are more accepting in Vancouver but people tend to be alot more secretive so meeting new people is slower. IE: you are less likely to find a tgirl clique to hang with than in Toronto. They are alot more private.

Rents are high all over the lower mainland in my experience.
Richmond, Burnaby, Po Co and Kitsalano may be a little cheaper but then you are further away from Vancouver.

Overall a nice place to live but not if you are looking for a tgirl scene.
However if you like your weed then you will really like it.
Toronto and Montreal are really it in Canada.
However living in Vancouver gives you excellent access to Thailand.

might be better, with the olympics coming up there is noticable rent increases. However after th olympics you might find better prices.

The club scene is limited to what Craigyb said, and the non escort girls lay low and just get along with everyday life.

Cheapest place for rent right now is across the river in Surrey, but it is not the fav place for glbt folk. Kinda redneckish in ways.

does ainyone know about bc vinyards, are there any for sale, cost?

is the 'taboo absinthe' the real thing?

bcseeds? where are the seeds from?

are there lots of crops in the mountains?

how long does it take to drive from toronto to vancouver, assuming one driver?
It is about 2100 miles or 3400 KM to Vancouver from To. I drove to Kelowna (where most of the vineyards are) a few years ago from the Sault, and it took me 4 long days (8-10 hrs) and then it would be another good half day to Vancouver. Coming from Toronto you'd have to add another day, making a total of approximately 5 1/2 - 6 days driving. Not a fun trip!

If you decide to do it I'd suggest entering Michigan at Sarnia/Port Huron, taking Michigan 75 from Flint to the the Straits of Mackinac then US 2 as far West as possible (gas and accomodations are cheaper than Canadian). Perhaps come back into Saskatchewan at South Portal which is South of Moose Jaw. The US roads are divided hwys with higher speed limits and just much better than the Transcanada is in N. Ontario and parts of E. Saskatchewan, all of which are single lane. From Moose Jaw the TransCanada is fine, twinned with very spectacular scenery through BC from Calgary.

Will you need a taster at your winery?

The real estate costs in the Okanagan is some of the most expensive in Canada. I am sure there is vineyards and orchards for sale out there, however most likely pricey.

Taboo absinthe is just a brand made in BC using real wormwood, so it is the real thing. However real abstinthe is available in stores all over western canada, not sure about you guys in the east.

Anyway there is lots of crops in the mountains, and they probably make their own seeds.
Based on this I think you may want to consider moving to Nelson, BC.
There is a head shop in Nelson with a Bob Marley mural on the side, go in and talk to those guys, they should be able to help you out.
I wish I could move to Nelson

Toronto to Vancouver is a long way as Toban says.
Don't go through Northern ontario unless you want some good fishing.
It is 90kms/hr 2 lane highway from Sudbury nearly to Winnipeg and it takes forever. Driving down through the states is the fastest similar to what Toban has says. Take the interstate Detroit-chicago-Minneapolis-Fargo then cut up into Saskatchewan and the Number 1 highway as Toban says.

Regina to Calgary is about 7 hour drive and Calgary to Vancouver is about 12 hours, this is all on the trans Canada highway.
However if you want to go to Nelson and the Okanagan then you want to head the south route on the Crows nest highway. This would mean turning off at Medicine Hat and going through Lethbridge rather than Calgary.

You are probably looking in the neighbourhood of 50 hours driving time from Toronto to Vancouver.
