Is anyone else receiving spam through their Forums PM box?

Lately I have been receiving spam through my PM box here. Never happened before in all the time I've belonged here. I decided to disable the PM function, to try to stop it. Well it did of course, but then I lost the ability to send/receive PMs. Later, I wanted to send a PM so I enabled PM's again and right away got more of the same spam garbage. Often it is offering sites with animal sex.

I used to have a Yahoo mailbox listed on my Forums profile and I was also receiving an increased amount of porn via Yahoo Mail. Wondering if the two issues were related, I disabled the Yahoo e-mail link on my Forum profile. Amazingly my Yahoo spam was so dramatically reduced that day after day there's no spam anymore. Most of it therefore seemed to be associated with my Forum profile e-mail link.

It appears to me that there is reason then to believe that some spammer has decided to use the Forum membership list.

If you are experiencing the same nuisance, I'd appreciate hearing about it. Since there is no access now to my PM or my profile e-mail link you could reply via this thread.

Yes Admin. I did think of notifying you but just was curious if I was alone in being spammed here or if it was a common thing amonst all Forum members with PM enabled. I suppose though I am still concerned about the e-mail spam as the spam on my Yahoo has dried up almost completely since I disabled the profile e-mail access.

I know you are doing what you can.

I do appreciate your efforts to weed out the trash here.

This is bull shit, how come I do not get spam in my mail box? I even signed up for extra spam a few weeks ago!
