  • We should be allowed to request deposits

Not all girl's are trustworthy, honest or even the girl in the picture. Some are out here to scam you. But can we talk about the time wasters, robbers and scammers that are pretending to be customers?

As a provider. I do not have feel safe without a deposit.

I am giving out my address to a bunch of time wasters/no shows and have been stalked.

Deposits allows me to feel safe and on top of that means I cut communication on any further requests until I'm ready to work again.

Am I the only one dealing with this or is there other girls and am I wrong for asking for a deposit for the first time second time it's not required since you can trust the client?

    Let me know.

Whereabouts do you work? I do understand where you are coming from but many of these problems(like stalking) will not stop because many people get burned by escorts. I personally have never seen someone that I deposited before seeing them the first time. Of all the girls I've seen there are only 2 that I could trust with a deposit and even then I know if I do it I'd lose leverage because they'd value the full payment of another client over mine as they know I'm already locked in since I'm incested causing my book time to get jerked around while priotizing the less interested ones.

Clients do that to you because they understand they lose their power as soon as they pay you. Its human nature to avoid loss more than the prospect of gaining pleasure so that would actually be more bad for you than you think. You will lose many clients to more popular providers because they would have built a reputation for being trustworthy. Trust is very hard to build so everyone will swarm to the same girls because everyone know which girls will always follow though with deposits and the ones lesser known will not offer deposits. Leaving the ones that want a deposit that people don't review much in limbo.

I know you have gone through less than pleasant things but that is the nature of the business. When you become a public person, people willl treat you like public property. Even if you do deposits, strangers will do strange things. I've spoken to many escorts on a personal level and many of then have opened up about their most scary clients and more often than not they were regulars that overstepped their boundaries. Due to the nature of the business, it is imperative to building personal relationships meaning indivuals on both sides become emotionally vested(usually the client moreso). You are not going to solve these scary situations with a deposit. I think you already know most of this and thats why you haven't employed it yet. If you tell clients they have to deposit they'll simply venture to someone who doesn't require it and that'll hit you pockets harder than the stress of a no-show would.

Of course you can ask for deposits. But people can also say NO way to sending them. So you can do it but you will get pushback from some guys and there are reasons for this.

Here is the thing. Almost every deposit requesting ad on Leo List is a 100% scam. Period, So, you have to understand why we guys have that rule.

If you have a reputation, good reviews, and regulars.. deposits to guarantee time are going to work just fine. But if nobody knows who you are or you have no reviews, you will be seriously limiting your market by asking for deposits.

I am very understanding of the escorts position. You will get tons of no shows, guys texting you endlessly with no intention of meeting .Being trans and CD requires a lot of preparation to get ready for a session (makeup ,grooming, shaving, enemas, etc etc) Putting in 90 minutes of preparation and the guy doesn't show up fucking sucks.

So, its a tough call. You have a good case but giving deposits is almost always a scam so most won't do it.

As for you personally, if you want to ask for them. Do it. Just don't get offended when people criticize it or call you a scam. Just let it roll of you and meet the guys who do pay it. Give them great service and perhaps they put up a review which gives others confidence to risk a deposit. You have many reasons to ask for you, but guys have many reasons not to risk sending one (its almost always a scam , all of us have been burned by it at some point before we learned our lessons).

Agreed, well said. Just a further point if a client is married he may have no reasonable way of sending a deposit. He’s paying cash for the session which is easy enough to hide but an e-transfer showing up on a bank account? Now there’s a paper trail.

You are allowed. There’s no rules, you’re not in a union 😂. Just say you require a deposit in your ad.

However, I would not recommend it for the exact reasons that some of the guys listed above. I personally have never paid a deposit, and I won’t in the future either.

One should never have to choose between their personal safety, and financial security.

However, with today’s “make every cent count”, CEO mentality, workers in nearly every industry are experiencing increased levels of risk in the workplace.

Of course you’re not wrong to ask for a deposit, and it should be something which is commonplace within sex work.

Unfortunately, thanks to the ever-increasing prevalence of online scammers, this once common practice has been transformed into a major red flag, and the number one calling card for scammers, and less-than-trustworthy sex workers.

If there is one constant in sex work, it’s the fact that the party who’s receiving payment, will be the party assuming the lion’s share of the risk… whether that be a risk to their physical, emotional or financial well-being.

So, in closing, I will reiterate what the other commenters have stated. While it’s your service to run as you wish, the decision to require deposits from all first-time clients, will most likely result in extremely limited growth of your client pool.
