I think of volunteering there if i have more time.
Hopefully within 5 years from now!
(in the mean time i have to help myself securing my future first)

there is the 333 sherourne health center, they specialize in glbtt clients , i know some friends they go to hormon therapy there, also trans 1 on 1, and so many support for trans womans, also mental therapy and i know also there is a very nice hotel-shelter for trans ladies... mostly really young ladies, and not into scorting or nite life.
actually i met an old friend there, is used to be on shemalecanada as well and all that shit, now she is there living happy and very pretty and healthy looking, i was glad when i saw how good she is doing now. ( if u read this i just wanna say i'm proud of u)

thanks VERONICA, my therapist is going to put me in touch withh 333, i think they are connected.
Don't forget to post ur pic after the transformation sis ...
thanks Tia, i still have to go to 333 to figure it out. i know there is a place on church where i can get a 'complete' make over so if i do decide to go there they do take pro pics and will post. i think id look like a very ugly mrs.doubtfire, not the image id want, i am thinking more in doing an emotinal trans because i have already started down that path.

part of the difficulty i have is that i wear my emotions on my sleeve and they are there for anyone to use, good or bad. i know stiff upper lip and all that rot but i think i got into this mess by pusshing too much to the back and it all came back in an avalanche. not to worry thought help is being seen and i expect to be fully functional( i like that statement) very soon.
cheers all for caring. that is also what this forum is about. good friends caring and sharing.

Don't overlook the fact that there are still other options available to you Kris. There are injectibles which have nothing whatever to do with the nitrous oxide issue (the reason viagra, cialis etc are off limits to you).
One is papaverine or similar enzyme products injected into the spongy tissue of the penis which result in an almost immediate erection and MUSE which is injected into the urethra. Both work well! Both require a prescription of course.
I'm glad you've decided to get help, just don't expect things to sort themselves out overnight. . . you need to take things one day at a time.
For an online resource, you can check www.tsroadmap.com. It's the best "start-to-finish" guide on the web, and the person who maintains it doesn't sugarcoat anything - she's quite blunt at times. I don't agree with her opinion on everything she says, but most of the info is excellent. The day I decided to transition, I spent over six hours on her site, and still couldn't get through everything. It's a great place to start.
If you want more of an interactive service, the GENDER JOURNEYS group at SHC is the best in Canada. Their goal is to provide useful information to anyone who's curious about gender change - they're very supportive and non-judgemental. The groups are often very diverse, in terms of age, background, gender identification, and familiarity with trans issues. Some people go there simply for information, and afterwards, choose not to transition; others are already in the early stages, and use it as a "how-to" guide to obtain the best result. I personally found it extremely rewarding, and it was an excellent resource to make use of.
Best of all, the two facilitators - Rupert and Yasmeen - are both trans, and very well-informed. They're fantastic people, and Rupert has become a mentor to me; when I start doing my clinical practicum for grad school, I'll be doing it at the Sherbourne, under his supervision.
The SHC also has Walk-In Therapy on Tuesdays from 1 - 4 pm, and Fridays from 10 am - 12 pm. As many of us know, your mood doesn't always correspond with your appointment; you can arrange to see a therapist practically right away. I've used this service as well, and it helped me get through a particularly difficult week.
So, for most things trans-related in the GTA, the SHC is the place to be. I'm not just saying that because I hope to work there, but they've provided so many useful services to both myself and others. Oh, I almost forgot - STAY AWAY FROM CAMH!!! They have absolutely nothing to offer trans people, other than pain, suffering and grief.

my therapist last friday was a great help in sorting out how i got so screwed up. she is supposed to be getting me a phsyc evaluation and is putting me intouch with 333 LGBT. i think i now need to get a graasp on my own sexual identity, if i am trans then i guess i need to deal with it in a better way etc etc. im sure you know the road i mean.
the angry person in me has pretty well gone away and i have started lsitening to up beat happier songs etc.
