Nikki, I couldn't figure out what you did with your day as I couldn't get past the boob-shaking bit.

But whether it is through the proper use of the English language or a (for lack of better term) a bastardization of it, we still have the option of choosing which way we want to communicate. How we choose to express ourselves reveals just as much, if not more, about who we are, as is the message we are trying to communicate. Therefore, when reading posts (I am a newb here so there is plenty for me to catch up on) I try to absorb more than just the written word since I believe if you can get an idea of who the person is behind their comments, you get a better understanding of what they are trying to say... whether it is in good english or not.

Impressive (and this is not meant as a jibe but a compliment), here I though Marshall was only quoted in Universities and somewhat decent Canadian Heritage clips. Who knows if the economy doesn't pick up, we may even get a taste of Nietzsche soon. or should that be

P.S. Nikki my compliments on the good day you had yesterday, especially being able to go to sleep so soon after 4:20
Welcome to the forum. Anyone who recognizes Mcluhan and throws in Neitzsche for fun is a welcome addition.
Enjoy the forum, but I warn you, the odd post might make you question some fundamental beliefs.

Good god. Marshall being mentioned on a thread such as this?

Dare I ask cobbler do you know of Soren Kierkegaard?

... isn't it a lot of fun to sometimes question some fundamental beliefs? But apart from some light weights like Mcluhan and Nietzsche, wait till I have an opportunity to bring in the heavy weights like Scooby Doo and and the Kool Aid Man.. "Oh Yeah!" Unfortunately.. and shamelessly, I run the full gambit.

Nothing lightweight about scooby doo. He packs more into an interrogative grunt than most philosophical texts.
As for my man Kierkegaard, I will coin his term: kontrastgefuldt. (Apologies for the spelling if in error.) It is a mixture of pity, fear and horror. Sums up my reactions to the odd post on here.

Nothing to worry about - I assure you, that was the high point of my day. Well, I guess 4:20 was the high point, but the boob-shaking was definitely the best part!

Truth to be told, my life is pretty boring these days. My recovery is going great, but I'm going stir-crazy here. I have all this free time since I finished classes, and hadn't been venturing out much before this week - doctor's orders and all that. I can only watch so many episodes of The Simpsons before I start to get bored. . .

No work and no school make Nikki go something-something. . .

                (Go crazy?)
                Don't mind if I dooooo!!!

Luckily, it's been two weeks since, and I'm just about healed - shouldn't be more than a few days before things are back to normal.

Which means plenty more of course!

Nothing like a girl who knows her Simpson's. Don't worry, after you are healed the new goods will make you rich as astronauts.

Make Homer go... heh that line was playing in my head as I was reading it.

Oh and to all you flops/leghumper's who PM'ed me while I was gone (where did I go?): I didn't PM you back because I didn't feel like it... be glad I put the effort in to press the delete button on your PM. But I promise, next time I will reply with some nasty/sarcastic comment.

                          "My bad"

I hate that expression. So weird to see an adjective being used as a noun.
