Could you tell us which reputable doctors you mean? Who have you contacted for information?

Most of the people in this thread are actually Canadian, aren't they? When was the last time you heard of an SRS policy being changed? Activists have been pushing Ontario to change its policy since long before 2001, and it's still the same.

In any event, I was quoting from the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, which provides the guidelines that many surgeons follow. It's not the final word, but a set of suggestions that people mostly choose to abide by, to varying degrees. Clearly, it's a very individualized procedure, but you haven't given any examples to support your opinion, and I can give you plenty of evidence to the contrary.

We know you don't want to learn how to spell, but could you at least learn how to read?

Yes, we all know how worldly you are, and you're certainly a reputable source of information. But I wonder, where do you get the time to live in the "real world" in between your 30 posts a day? Still, the topic for this thread is information about gender dysphoria. Not unsubstantiated opinions or insults, which seem to be your only contributions to this board.

    Via PM:
"fuck off listen fuck up shut the fuck up dude"

Wow, ten words in your PM, and three were "fuck." Really working on your vocabulary, huh?

Your PMs are easy enough to ignore, and I can even skip past your unreadable posts in
the catfight threads. But when you post flat-out bullshit without a shred of evidence, I'm going to call you on it. You're entitled to your opinion, but some people here actually value real information.

So, keep posting your 1,300 opinions on every single thread, because you're completely attention-starved and you don't have a life outside the forum. You're actually funny to laugh at. I'll continue to post facts, and I'm sure the readers will be able to tell the difference.

In the meantime, why don't you keep fighting in the sandbox with the other children, and leave the intelligent discussion to the adults?

Not exactly; Brassard is very experienced, and many who have had their SRS done by him are extremely pleased. He tends to handle things on a case-by-case basis, but as long as you have your two letters (and your $17,000) he'll do it if it's medically safe. People go to Thailand because it's cheaper, and they can avoid the ridiculous standards mandated by the government.

As I've said a million times, the problem is getting it covered by provincial health care, and provinces have different guidelines. In Ontario it's CAMH (though it might actually be changing after all these decades) and their guidelines are ridiculous.

My doctor has already told me that he'll give me a letter at my next appointment (which will be 18 months of HRT) and if they're given the power to recommend it through OHIP, I can get my second letter from SHC almost as soon as I ask for it. It's not in my immediate plans, but I'd rather have the letters in case I decide to go through with it down the road.

If you want to press politicians about something, tell them to change the guidelines, and allow recommendations through the SHC - they're the best in Canada for trans health issues.

Thank you! Truth is, that was a wig that I used to wear last summer, but since my own hair has grown out, I'll probably dye it a similar colour. Stay tuned for new pics!
