As I read and re-read the title of this thread, I can't help but realize that it really applies to everyone.

We're all on a journey of self-discovery, one which is sure to last a lifetime. Whether we're discovering new aspects of our gender, sexuality, or personal expression, there's always something new to learn about ourselves.

Throughout our lives, we change, we grow, and we learn. Sometimes we have people who accompany us on parts of our journey. It could be a lifelong friend who is with us every step of the way, or someone who briefly walks the same path, but still influences us in amazing ways. Every interaction gives us a chance to learn something new.

To be sure, this forum is home to many people on their own unique paths, yet somehow, our paths manage to intersect in so many places. Who knows how each experience will ultimately change how we see the world?

I don't want to get too philosophical or mushy - but any one person's journey is inevitably connected to the course we all take.

Unless it's a golf course - if your journey involves one of those, don't expect me to walk next to you!

i was going to call it 'one mans journey' and that would have probably been appropriate a year ago. so many changes in such a short time. i think i always saw people as just people regardless of all the defining factors, race, color, gender etc.

i think we just have to be ourselves. in so doing we become honest within ourselves and when people meet us they know they are meeting the real person. so as people we have to first learn to like ourselves, if possible love ourselves, accept ourselves to become ourselves. sometimes we meet people at totally random times and they become important in our lives. when i talk to a person i try to look into their eyes to see if they are in there and if they are alive. there has to be a spark to interact. i really try not to hate anyone as i believe this creates negativity within ourselves. love can conquer all if we let it.

we are all on an amazing journey. it can be hard to let things go at times but we can only carry on and look at what is coming around the next corner and greet it with open arms. take the time to look at the beauty that nature provides us. the most amazing of all natures creations are us and we can be soooooo beautiful.
