I have noticed that there are members here who have been a part of this site for years and say very little or nothing at all and then on the opposite end I see members that have recently joined and have produced more posts than those with a long tenure here.

Too each their own. Some people like to get involved some don't and there are reasons I'm sure but I am thinking perhaps one of the main reasons why people don't post on certain threads are

The topic is uninteresting or they are nervous or perhaps some have that narcissistic / ego maniacal attitude they are above posting.

Well. I am presenting the all in 1 thread. I'm going to put forth topics from various categories and hope that maybe this will finally be the ice breaker to get the 'quieter" ones to say something.

Somehow I get the feeling this thread may fail but pffft I'd rather go down fighting rather than just doing not a thing and then wonder later what the hell happened.

In fact I almost hope it fails but time will tell.

With that let me present you some ideas:

    Philosophy/ Religion / Logic

    1. Pure reasoning has no objective value in transcendental logic.
    2. Are all things determined by natural law or are we able to make certain life decisions on our own?
    3. There is no "correct" faith but rather you just HAVE faith.

    Literature

    1. It should be mandatory for everyone to study the works of Shakespeare
    2. Mark Twain's Tom Sawyer character is uninteresting and boring.
    3. The best written works are what you write.

    Sports

    1. The Olympics should not allow any type of "professional" to compete in the games.
    2. Although not popular in North America the greatest and most poetic sport in the world is soccer.
    3. A true athlete should not be earning millions but rather play for free but if they are to get paid they should have a cap.

    Arts/Entertainment

    1. Raiders of the Lost Ark is a modern day classic.
    2. Dancing has now become one of the most popular hobbies over the past 5 years thanks to much media exposure.
    3. Music. One of the best forms of communication as it touches everyone.

    Science/Math

    1. Cloning of people should only be limited to that in helping of shortages of heart transplants, skin disease etc etc.
    2. Everyone should know how to add , subtract, multiply and divide. The basics can help in every day life.
    3. Understand that the chances that we are not alone are high.

    Business/Finance

    1. North American Free Trade Agreement. Totally useless as it makes the less fortunate countries even more less fortunate and the stronger countries stronger. How does this benefit everyone?
    2. If you can't manage your money at least invest it or find someone who can manage it for you.
    3. Supply and demand. Good to follow. If you have it people will want it but be sure the price is fair and also be sure to SAVE before you buy.

    Sex / T Women

    1. T Women are the most beautiful people in the world.
    2. If you're going to have sex then great go wild and have fun but be safe!
    3. Understand that not everyone is compatible in the bedroom or wherever it is you may be doing it.

    Discuss.

Your post is one of the more interesting ones I have found. There is more to life than just sex and ideas and discussions actually give me more pleasure.

I agree with you about Shakespeare. His insight into the human condition in just about all its aspects is genius beyond measure. To me he is the greatest of all playwrites.

I agree about Tom Sawyer. Totally over-rated but Mark Twain's other works are excellent. My favorite is "Roughing It" and his critic of "Last of the Mohicans" always break me up.

Raiders will be a timeless classic.

Cloning should be banned period because the blurry line between helping medicine and playing God will never hold. I believe this but I know its unrealistic to expect it. Pandora's Box has already been opened. I just hope Humanity can deal with it.

Investing money. That's what I do for a living. Investing has nothing to do with intelligence but much more about having the right emotional make-up; the most important of which is learning to take losses. People don't like to admit they made a mistake and if you can't handle that then hire someone who can BUT BUT make sure you can trust him and even then you can go wrong (Madoff).

Don't agree about NAFTA. Canada, the US and Mexico are a trading block simply because of geography. The EU is the same way. Just makes sense economically and it doesn't mean that Canada and Mexico lose political independence.

They should stop the pretense of the Olympics. They are just doped-up professionals. As to putting on caps on professional athletes' salaries, I am against that. They are in the entertainment industry now. Thats why they make so much. If enough fools are willing to pay them the money then so be it.

I love playing soccer. You don't have to have a certain body type to play well as in football of basketball. The players come in all sizes and it is alot of fun.

I hope this thread works too. We will see.

        Nice post Rants.
I'll try to get to each point eventually, but I feel I have to respond first to Tom Sawyer. I find him to be a fascinating example of the hollowness of the "American Ideal". He is slick and flashy and yet false. In Tom the satiric basis of Twain's writing is masterfully shown. Tom is every smug bullshitter we've all had to endure periodically.
Boring? Perhaps less than subtle, but interesting all the same.

As for faith, I think all faith is wrong. For too long has faith in some sort of divine arbiter stunted man's evolutionary process. Lack of faith is still considered an ethical negative, yet more harm has been done in its name than not. My lack of faith is as valid as anyone's faith, even if there is no actual doctrine involved. People of faith of any ilk must recognize that their ideas have yet to be validated in any concrete manner.
To simply believe without questioning that belief is intellectually lazy and dishonest. No offence intended to anyone, so don't tell me I'm going to hell, because from all evidence I've seen it doesn't exist.

Whew, that felt good. I look forward to reading more on this thread. Thanks Rants.

          Minimal inpact.

Rantsalot, a great attempt to stimulate discussion, certainly better than the ranting of Tia and Lucy.
I'll address three points with you:
NAFTA - needs to be expanded to included Central and South America. Your premiss that wealth is not being transfered are in accurate the BRICK nations of India China Brazil and Russia have created an incredbile middle class ... future consumers.
Science & Math - medical advancements will be made as a result of stem cell research.
Business & Finance - there is a world wide Liquidity crisis ... not enough dollars in circulation and those availble come with a price. This will lead to a new capitalism where saving to buy will come back in style rather than buying on credit.
Just my thought as to why so little input from many members is unlike PER and TERB the reviews here are few and far between and this is what brought me to the site to find out about who are quality providers and a more detail break down on what one can expect.
This thread and a lonnie will get you a drink at McDonalds till August 30th.
          Happy Summer everybody.

That is not stem-cell research. Stem-cell rx is old news. Dolly the sheep was cloned years ago and I am certain that human cloning attempts are happening now in several places. It is just too tempting and it would be easy to get financing, equipment and expertise. The equipment is off-the-self technology and the procedures already established. Its not science fiction anymore. The moral dilemma is going to be a whopper. If you were wealthy would you grow a clone of yourself to use for spare organs when yours wear out? And if this clone can think and feel too?

Lisa, stem cells are the base for cloning. When I said it was old news I meant that the science has progressed beyond that point but of course you need the stem cells (for the moment) simply because they are the tissue that can easily be stimulated into cell differentiation. Its just a building block; raw material. The problem is that it is easier to clone a whole being (sheep or whatever) than it is to clone a single organ.

Rant. It looks like not too many people are enthralled by this thread. Its a big shame. Your idea is good but I guess people come here for the Tgirls sex part and thats all. Dommage. Myself, I can't separate my life in that way. Guess I am a bit all or nothing lol. Anyway I love your thoughts Rant. Please keep stimulating me.

                    ...

                    LOL

Well deuxglass. I did have a feeling this wasn't going to be to popular of a thread. I love conversation but there are those here who just prefer to observe or just send private messages or are "selective" in what they write. It's all good. Whatever makes a person happy is fine with me.

I did include a Sex / T Women category though. I'm a little surprised some people didn't jump on those statements. Who wouldn't want to jump on a t woman? Make that 2 or 3.

Oh. Regarding one particular comment I posted. I had a conversation the other day with a friend of mine who is a stubborn idiot of biblical proportions and he flat out believes that there is no other life out there except what is here on Earth. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow saying to him

                    "Are you freakin' serious?"

                    His reply and defense

                    "Yeah. All propaganda and show."

I hate people who say that statement for anything. Kinda like saying

"The internet. Oh hell no. It doesn't exist it's all hype and propaganda."

                    LOL

                    Ah well.

For Tgirls I do find some very beautiful but that is true for some women as well as some men. Beauty does not depend on the gender for me. It depends on the person. There is one thing about Tgirls that men and women lack and that is I feel comfortable with them to a degree that I can't feel with men and women. Essentially that is the reason why I prefer their company. Of course sexually speaking Tgirls are by far my preference to the exclusion of others. I am a hedonist and a big one I must say so I fully agree about going wild. I lost my inhibitions long ago. Good riddance!

Like you Rant, I am always surprised at how many people when confronted with new evidence find it impossible to modify their beliefs. Your friend obviously doesn't want to think of things that might cause him to change his mind. Its becoming clearer now that through the solar wind and through meteoritic exchange that every planet in the solar system have exchanged huge quantities of bacteria for over a billion years. When we find life on the other planets it will probably be DNA based just like all life on Earth. The interesting point that comes up is that the same argument holds for other star systems. Life maybe did not originate here on Earth. It could have been seeded from another solar system entirely. ( the good thing is that when we do find aliens, we could actually eat them!)

                        RE: Sports

                        Your post about sports...
                        Sports

                        1. The Olympics should not allow any type of "professional" to compete in the games.
                        2. Although not popular in North America the greatest and most poetic sport in the world is soccer.
                        3. A true athlete should not be earning millions but rather play for free but if they are to get paid they should have a cap.

                        My opinion:
                        1. I agree with you, although it would not bother me if individual sports athletes still competed. Pro sports teams should not compete, but it is a big cash grab so I think they are in the games to stay.

                        2. I am not much of a soccer fan, but have watched a little. I could give you it is a poetic sport, and would not argue someone who said soccer players are the most fit athletes of team sports, but hockey rules. Hockey is faster, more intense, more impact, more character. A impressive mix of speed, strength, and skill, and moves are made at high speed. You have smash and crash, give and go, and sudden death overtime. The star hockey players are both warriors and magicians.
#3 comes down to supply and demand, marketing and fame. Athletes such as Jordan, Gretzky, Yao Ming, are considered iconic gods of sport in countries and/or continents, and money rains on them. Then you get into soccer and F1 which have more of a World Wide fan base, and there seems to be no limit to the money they will make. Play for free is a bit of a joke. Who wants to work for free?
Athletes, actors, musicians, if they get fame, they will get big money.
I do think it is out of balance though, when former players become team owners, and the such. That would be like me in my 9-5 job, after working 20 years, starting my own company of equal size of the multi million dollar company I currently work for. How awesome would that be...
Anyway to summarize, hockey rules, and money makes the World go around.
