I find this to be another very interesting thread. Personally, you can't go wrong if you say miss, she, her, woman, girl - any of those. When I advertize, I use shemale because most guys will get a strong image from that. It is a made-up word though. I really hate when people say "Sir" when they are standing right in front of me. It's a bit like what has been said already - when a word is used just to spite, insult, put down, then it is not the word that offends but the intention behind it.
What I find interesting is that these words are trying to put us in neat little boxes so we can be categorized and "understood". Hey - I don't want to be "understood" that way. I want you to know me and I am different from everybody else. From that perspective, all these words mean nothing to me.
Damn words - can't define them, can't speak up without them!
