growing maturing and leaving

it seems to me some times that as we experience new things that change our lives that sometimes we have to mature and leave things and people behind that are no longer in your sphere. that kinda sucks because there are some people from my past that i really like. thats where the maturing comes in. find a way to deal with the emotions. mentally say goodbye and leave them.

my reality has proven to me that it it idyllic.
its like what to do when a friend just wants to become and aquaintence or friends just stop calling. you are left hurt again.

i can tell you i am a complete package as a friend. i really care about my friends and will always be so. totally loyal. totally compassionate. possibly totally loving.
my castle is your castle. totally supportive. and so on. some people cant handle that. a friend is someone that calls you sometimes. a friend is someone you can share your inner most secrets with and will not tell a soul about it. i friend is someone you can trust. a friend is someone that will come over and help you try make up with. a friend is someone that will help you as well.

so yeah that leaves me pretty alone most of the time. but thats what i think friends are. even when friends decide not to be one anymore they know all they have to do is call and i will be there.

right now my one true friend wants to go for a walk.

in younger years i stood up to a gang that was going to be the crap out of a friend just because he was french.

its like phoning a friend tell you their car crapped out and before they can add more you say do you need a lift.
without friends our heads get messed up.
intuitively i know a friend of mine is having a hard time but they dont want my help. i hope i am wrong but then i hope they call if they want.

Real Friends

We all have friends that we see locally but this is a big country and we are very transient. We cross paths with lots of people and sometimes know this person is different.
Nothing is better than to get, or make, a call or an email from, or to, this person, out of the blue, to share a joy or a sorrow, or just say Hi, and know that the person cares. Is this a real friend?
Today I had a call and exchanged emails with such a friend in California, who I have not seen in over 10 years, who knew he could share his problem and we both felt the bonding.
We do not have to see friends everyday but just know that they are there, wherever they are, just to say Hi and share the parts of our lives that mean something to us
