  • Has the Forum been hacked again?

I had something happen to my computer yesterday and then again this morning.

Yesterday afternoon I left the computer on and signed in to TGirl Forum. When I returned a few hours later I could not wake the machine nor could I get to "Start" to restart or shut it down. Restart on the machine would not restart it. I then pulled plug and started over fresh.

When everything was up and running I went to the bookmark for TGirl Forum and up came the hackers page, same as when I was hacked a week or so ago. Many tries later I could still not log in. Just as I was about to shut down for the night I tried and all was normal again.

This morning on trying to use my bookmarks to log in, the hack page came up again. I shut down and restarted without trying the Forum. A bit later used bookmark to get in and all seems to be working normally.

I am wondering now, has there been any intermittent outages, as of last evening between 4 and 7pm or this morning around 7;30, or is the problem somewhere in my machine?

Maybe I have some remnants of the hacker in my memory or caches.

    Norton finds nothing.

    Any comments?

    I saw similar behavior yesterday.

When I logged in with my PC, I got the hacker page, and my browser froze.
When I tried a little later all was good (cleared cache and history also).

When I tried to visit from my mobile this morning, I got the same hacker page, but after clearing the cache and history, it worked.

Since it had not been mentioned on the Forum by anyone I assumed it was probably a local problem, but thought I'd ask to make sure, so now I know. Damn hackers!

In the first instance it completely immobilized my computer rather than just freezing the browser. Even though it remained powered, when I tried the restart button it went into a crazy routine and remained inoperative. This morning it remained operative and I was able to access any other stuff but not the Forum.

        Thanks Jaryl and Chantel.

          no problems

i have not had any problems at all.

i assume you all have firewalls and anti virus running.

try cleaning out your temp files and also your internet history.

            virus

if you dont have a subscribed virus protection you can go to AVG. they have a virus software that is F R E E. it is supposed to be very good.

On top of AVG, there is also an open source (FREE) anti-virus called ClamWin.

Yeah, I saw the hacker message too. It tried to install a Java script onto my computer, but the browser blocked it.

Thanks all, for the tips received here from members.

Yes I have Norton always on with firewalls, antivirus etc. but PC spy doctor sounds like a good one to look into.

I have since cleaned my internet cache, temp internet files etc. as was suggested so hope I have flushed it out of my system.

I'd say you cleaned up the two hacks very quickly yesterday Admin. since you were quite quick to getting back in operation. Practice makes perfect?

you should probably set nortons to do a virus scan.

                      That would kick ass!!

Unfortunately with the money I make on the forum I can probably afford to ship myself there by ground Post at best.

lol that's one long hack! They must be terrible hackers if they're still there by the time your ass gets fedex'ed to them. Maybe you could just get their mailing address and send them one of those boxing gloves on a spring to give them a nice shiner or a bloody nose!

It is always on! Do a full thorough scan regularly as well as filter everything. The most I've caught so far are tracking cookies.
