So as I was walking back home last night around 2am, i was minding my own business walking on the side walk, and i saw these 3 guys that parked there car on the side, one of them was outside smoking, and the next thing i heard was, they were making vomit noises, and barfing sounds, and they kept giggling when i walked past by them. I snapped, and i turned around, and i fucking swore at them. I was like come do this to my face, and i swear to fucking god, i'll punch u in the fucking teeth. You don't wanna fuck with me, i always carry a pepper spray and a knife everywhere i go. Keep laughing and i swear to god, watch what i'm gonna fucking do to u guys right now, so don't FUCK WITH ME! I went inside the max 24/hours, convienent store and bought a $3 crossword scratch ticket.

When i came back out, a few minutes later, those guys were still there, and i walked past by them while looking at them the whole time and this time, they didn't say nothing to my face, or laughed or made puking vomit sounds as a way to mock me cause i'm a visible transsexual person in my nabourhood. Like i said, sometimes u gotta put assholes to there place, and show them who's boss, and who's dominate, otherwise the next time they see me, there gonna continue harassing me, every time they see me, and it feels like high school all over again for fuck sakes. I don't put up with people's bullshit at all, like for real. This usually happens whenever i'm alone, and when there with there friends in a group, i'm an easy target for jokes to be made fun of. I'm sick and tired of getting harassed, to the point now, i confront these morons and tell them off to there face, and we'll see who's the real fucking bitch at the end!

I appreciate where you're coming from. I'm a bit of a hot head too and have made my fair share of mistakes because of it.

I teach self defense and my number one rule and advice is always never carry a weapon unless you know how to use it and have the stomach to do it properly. I don't know you or your history, so only you can answer to your ability for both. You do need to take into account a few things;

1) These guys were mocking you so you threatened violence and advertised you were armed. This makes you the aggressor and can easily give them a self defense argument should anything happen. Don't give people advantage like that.

2) Knives are generally a bad weapon to carry for most. For it to be an effective self defense tool you have to really know what you're doing. not so much for using it as a weapon, but for retaining it. Something like 70% of knives people use in self defense are used against them. I'll never forget the time I saw the end result of a woman who was sodomized with her own knife by her attacker. Do you know how to use a knife against multiple attackers? Do you know weapon retention techniques? I don't teach civilians but can recommend a few instructors in the GTA who can show you a thing or two.

3) Pepper spray outdoors is an equal opportunity weapon. If the wind is blowing it could affect you instead of the people you're using it against. If they are wearing certain types of clothes it can literally bounce off them right back onto you. Cops have to get sprayed before they are allowed to carry it, do you know how you react when you get a face full of that stuff? Even with their training, cops often end up spraying themselves.

4) I think you probably chalked these guys up pretty accurately; insecure, straight guys trying to puff up their ego's. When you taunted them as you did you back them into a corner. How many of us have seen guys do stupid things in an attempt to save/regain their pride? Do you think that taunting an insecure straight guy could cause him to act in a way he might not normally? You, a T-Girl that they don't think highly of, just put them in their place. Do you think it's a possibility that in an attempt to redeem their wounded pride, they might do something like attack you? As far as I'm concerned every stranger in this city is emotionally disturbed until I decide they are otherwise. This city is full of unpredictable nuts.

5) You taunted guys you didn't know. How could you be sure they weren't armed also? 2 months ago police confiscated an Uzi submachine gun on River St. Last year they got one out of the Pape & O'Connor area. This is a concealable gun that, in the time it takes you to reach into your purse and grab your knife and pepper spray, they could have fired 50 9mm bullets into your body? Even with any other firearm the average person can pull the trigger 4x a second, so for every 25th of a second it takes you to arm yourself, that is another bullet coming towards you. Again, know your enemy and don't let them have any advantages... in this case it could be surprise.

You have every right to be as pissed off as you were/are. I'm certainly not saying otherwise. I'm just saying to be careful. I don't want to open up my newspaper or go online and read that something has happened to you. Of course I don't know anything about you, or your history or what you're capable of so if you've already taken this stuff into mind, then just ignore what I'm saying, lol. You owe it to yourself to hold yourself to a certain level of respect. You also have a responsibility to yourself and loved ones to make it home at the end of the night. Stay safe
