i use a berringer pro mixer djx700 and i do use tech 1200. vinyl scratch interface hooked up to my computer in real time as to get the same effect as vinyl as well as cdjs for most of the clubs i dj at.

I miss old school scratching, sampling & breakz. Throw in a nice squelchy TB303 and I wake up. Uberzone was the last artist to do anything for me in that space.

i never could figure out why you guys do the turn table thing i guess i just dont like the songs blending in together making a racket lol and besides the music is supposed to come from the heart.todays music aside from country and rock is crap its been like that since the 90s.what happened to motown when black people actually knew how to make music now all ya see is this rap crap fat guys thinking there sexy with there pants hanging down past there butts i just dont get it .

true enough i just personally dont like it but im way too commercialized i suppose but i can tell it takes a tonn of skill to do it so cudos to those like alissa that do it

he's got talent! It is amazing to see people utilize simplistic toools to create samples and sounds! I personally like a bit of the purist side with a combination of computer software and samplers. alyssa

That's the mixer I have in the video (the gold one) Vestax 06 pro from Japan. Nothing comes close as far as the faders go. Its like the faders are made hot metal and filled with butter.

Lisa its quite challenging to make two records spin together, good mixing makes two records sound as one.

Anyone recommend good software to record into the computer? I run a linux box that I would like to record on...Every thing seems to be made for macs or windows...

Another question what do you use when your hands get dry skin? I was using Jergins "Jerkin's" moisturize but it doesnt last long...

Having sticky fingers when you are cutting/scratching fast is key.
