Some thoughts on the Forums shrinkage.

Well. This is the time of year that it traditionally gets busier everywhere. With that I need to ask why has it been so quiet here lately?

Hey Rants, your comment has caught my eye and I feel compelled to offer my thoughts, for what they are worth, on the situation regarding the recent loss of readers and posters.

A few weeks ago I had said that I was leaving the Forum so I realize that you may wonder why I am here today. While I have not posted at all since retiring, I have been checking the Forum pretty regularly because I have been following a certain topic for my own reasons. Over time, on checking the Forum almost daily it had already become evident to me that the majority of the regular posters, who I could name here, but won?t, had not been participating as they usually had done.


I feel that the reason for the unusual drop in posts may be that since the recent takeover and the addition of several new moderators, the whole tenor of the Forum appears to me to be less welcoming and helpful than it once was.


It seems to me too, that a significant number of the new posts that are made, are those made by the new moderators and not by regular members. Perhaps the prominent display of T-Girl moderators on the home page and that large number of T-Girl posts is enough to cause many newcomers, who may already be unsure of themselves in this world and who are perhaps only recent admirers of the girls, to feel that the Forum is essentially for T-Girls and not for them.

Perhaps the moderators should focus on moderating the Forum by disciplining those who get out of line, welcoming new members but not posting regularly in almost every thread. The Forum is not for the moderators - it is for the members!


I do not feel as Admin suggests, that the last hack of the Forum and the subsequent logon problems had much to do with the drop in posts, because any member really interested in the Forum will simply keep retrying to connect. Actually it was evident, to me at least, that the drop in posts had begun some time before that hacking incident.


I notice some queries by first time posters are going unanswered these days too, which would be very discouraging for a potential new member. New posters will return as regulars if they are welcomed here and are treated kindly, not neglected!

now i remember why i always thought you were burnt,not as friendly or helpfull? gimmie a break when you were a mod this forum was a joke and you know it as everyone else does.we members had to put up with all the bullshit from you victoria and the other nut jobs who ran this forum now its genuine honest with no bullshit so dont let the door hit ya on the way out
