  • Free Will??

So I've noticed some recent discussion over the concerns of whether trans identified people are forced (by any means in which you interpret this action) into the sex world?

Are we making our decisions on our own free will, or because there really is no other option?

I think the majority due it for an "easy out", I know I did and many others have. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree and worked a job making 500.00 a week. I then started transitioning and got a taste of the adult side when a guy offered me 200.00 at a club to go down on me, I was shocked. Eventually I found it easy and its turned into a Porn Career and Empire. Let me say though I use my education everyday running my company I could have EASILY continued working a 9-5 and trasitioning at work. I also have many girlfriends who are in the gay circuit doing "shows" and rather turn clients and stay up all night partying..................On the flip side I do think there are those girls who have no way out and turn to the sex market as a way out but I think the majority is by CHOICE.

Unfortunately, I think far too many tgirls are forced into marketing themselves due to the lack of acceptance in mainstream society. Some do it willingly because the money is there, but I imagine most people would prefer to have a steady job and keep their sex lives somewhat private.
Make the cash with no regrets, I say hats off to you, but I suspect that is the minority of escorts.
That said, I personally am glad you're out there.
How else would I get to explore your world?

this is a great start, two very prominent gals from different backgrounds, both would be great mentors for lesser experienced gals to learn from

I know there is several others on this site that do their share some no longer post here, but their out there doing what they can

I see nothing wrong with the escort aspect, the benefits it creates is an offset, ,its the bad habits and drugs that start from depression and a mentor could help save some from this fate.
We all understand that the market for your service is huge ,
I hope Nikki, Sunshine ,Monika, Lucy , will make a short posting to this site on this topic

It is usually by choice for many reasons mainly the money aspect. The cost of transitioning is not cheap. So alot choose the quick money route to subsidize their needs. Nothing wrong with that if they are able. Hence why we have freedom of choice and expression.

                      too black and white

I feel that I am in the business by choice - I don't feel like I was pushed by anyone to join the industry. However, I think the two choices: free will versus forced into it, do not leave enough room to fully explain what happens in reality.

Most often, in reality, forces are at work that limit your choices and encourage you to make certain choices versus others that are simply not likely to fulfill survival requirements at the time.

If we were completely and utterly free, we would probably focus on the long term and build an empire, step by step. But this is only possible in an environment that puts no pressure on you whatever. How many of us live in such an alien world? Not many. Surviving, paying the bills, meeting your financial obligations - this is expensive. Then add to that the costs of transitionning and you have a big financial obligation in front of you. Is it any wonder that so many TS girls choose to work in the industry? Can you say they are freely entering it? Yes. Can you say they are forced into it? Yes.

Maybe the thread should be more generous with the choices offered and others may be able to contribute some personal experiences.

I believe it's a mixture of limited choices:
                        1. Due to the fact that our society has identified people in transition as freaks' and it's not the norm. So they close many doors that would normally be open for others.
                        2. Entering the Adult industry is one way of getting the recognition (and pay) by being arouind fellow transitioners. That assists in making the trasition more bearable. Some 'decide' that they have no choice... Some do it because they feel that they can and will try it...

Don't shoot me.. Just adding to the conversation...

Why would any one find fault with your opinion
its honest and maybe close to whats happening to majority of gals
I think it would be an easier road if there was government funded programs to help cut some of the cost in the transition.
as an interested member, thanks for taking the time

I agree it's a numbers of factors that contribute to why more ts girls, as a percentage work in the sex industry as opposed to other social groups.

The main ones for me are firstly that social prejudices means there are a lack of opportunities in main stream society for individuals of a ts gender resulting as a result of being a minority group which is heavily prejudiced. Secondly I believe the financial implications of gender reassignment means that the ts community is more inclined to look at alternative lifestyle options if that means they can reach their ultimate goal especially when traditional opportunities are not so readily available.

Now for a controversial suggestion which may see me shot down in flames but I think it is a consideration. The reason possibly why a greater percentage of ts community go into the sex industry, opposed to other social groups, whether it be hetro females, hetro males, gay males, lesbians or bi males and females is not only because of the key factors as highlighted in my first paragraph but also because of this groups attitude to sex. What I am suggesting is that whilst many ts girls have/or are making the transition into becoming woman the consideration is do they not still display the same attitudes towards sex as most men do. Most heterosexual man would love to quit the day job and earn a living from sex but the reality is that there just isn't the opportunity. As for woman they may have the opportunity but they do not have share the same casual attitude to sex that men have. Therefore whilst some women may choose to make their living in the sex industry this percentage is much lower than the ts community.

I'm no psychologist and merely putting a point of view across and do not know whether a ts girls typically ?male attitude? is due to biological or psychological reasons but I do believe it's a case of NECESSITITY (lack of mainstream opportunities & financial implications) + OPPORTUNITY + ATTITUDE available to this social group that sees more ts girls work in the sex industry.

Please do not be offended by my suggestion that ts girls have a typically "male attitude" to sex as I believe many of these ts girls are some of the most feminine and beautiful women in society. I just hope I am luckily enough to get an opportunity to develop a relationship with one of these ladies.
