best foundation with out a doubt is superstay make up by maybelline microflex formula it stays on all day, before using make sure your face is clean with a cleanser then pat dry next use a toner mine is la roche-posay without alcohol on a cotton cleanser pad next put on alittle moisterizer let dry for 10 mins if your face is oily like mine you can brush powder softly on face then use the foundation.for your eyes i always use gosh 3 in 1 eye shawdow then a black eyeliner i use revlon colorstay waterfroof as well as waterfroob mascara.now if you wanna contour your face to change the shape enhance features then theres a great product called lise watier spinning wheel with 5 shades each shade has its purpose and actually tells you on the back where on your face to use each shade.and other questions bring em on.

being a self proclaimed makeup enthusiast, i figured i could help a bit here..
first off, simplicity is key to creating a "natural feminine" finish. as well as proper blending. dont apply too much!!!! many women in general make this mistake and it always looks like stage makeup. which is great for that type of lighting, but real life...not so much.

now i'm not one for going cheap when it comes to makeup, as it is an investment into yourself. the use of professional products and tools really helps with achieving that "cakeless" look.

getting a skin analysis is crucial to understanding what type of foundation is suitable for your skin. not every type of foundation works for everyone.
i personaly use Lancome Teint Idole Ultra. this is a 12 hour wear foundation and really lasts that, if not more.

skin preparation is just as important as the application
primers help fill in wrinkles and create a smooth ease application of foundations. i recommend Smashbox Foundation Primer.

if you have facial hair, 2 products i recommend are Neostrata toning solution, which helps with under the skin infections (ie ingrowns, cists)
and Tend Skin, which is meant for after use from shaving. this prevents ingrowns and heals nicked or razor burnt skin. both have high alcohol levels so MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!!!!!

Like Lisa, I also recommend the Lise Watier Portfolio Correctors. these help hide any unwants and keep a professional look. these are to be used prior to foundation application and lightly blending with a sponge or CLEAN finger.

since i usually change my makeup twice a day, purely out of boredum haha, i go through eyeshadow like crazy. i highly recommend the Sephora Collectors Edition makeup pallette. only available now cuz of the holidays. it includes 64 eyeshadows, 64 lip colours, 2 blushes, cream eyeliners, stick eyeliners, bronzer, brushes (which aren't good so i would get professional products, Quo has lots on sale right now) and much more. it was number one on my xmas list. so naturally i bought myself 3 hahahaha

i also live by the product line from Cover FX. it's a canadian based company that is a mineral makeup line. its got a high coverage powder foundation (powder fx), which i use on top of my foundation and really creates a flawless finish. and i mean flawless. they also have a setting powder. which contains something called Mica-pigment technology. what this is, is essentially little mirrors that reflect light off your skin, which draws away visibility of any mild/medium imperfections.

i really hope this helps but again i highly recommend you go to a professional to at least get a skin analysis to determine your skin care plan and foundation type.
without a good start, the finish isn't going to be what you want.
