CD - Queen: News of the World (England) They spawned what some deemed as the new British invasion. With every album they released they gained more and more and more fans. Some dared to even compare them to the likes of The Beatles and KISS .... OMG! Queen undoubtedly is known worldwide. This release is arguably their best effort. It contains the two most popular sports anthems ever in "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions" but also adds a mix of pseudo funk, aching ballads and just about everything else you can think of. I mean, there is a song titled "Who Needs You" which is a statement of a guys break up with his girl. Lots of experimenting here and to those who love the classic rock era this is a definite to have and hear.

DVD - The Ninth Gate (USA, France and Spain - 2000) For what its worth this movie is slow moving, not at all frightening or suspenseful and lags from time to time but the story to me still kept my interest. Johnny Depp a book collector who is hired by a millionaire to seek a rare book supposedly written by Satan himself. Only 3 copies are known to exist. Upon the way in trying to find the book he encounters obstacles and finds helps in a widow who was married to someone who owned one the 3 "rare" books. Things get intense as its found that the books have a way to call Satan onto the world. Again, not a bad idea but the way it was shot and the lack of emotion made what couldve been great something youd see just once , maybe twice and thats it. I dont usually like to promote lackluster films with the exception say of "Kansas City Bomber" and "Weird Science" but check this out if you have spare time.


Um , so yeah. First things first

Er....ahh....snow....it's coming. Somebody go tell Mother Nature to cease and desist. If there is one thing I do not like its snow. Purists would say winter is not winter without snow. I say winter without snow would benefit a lot of highway drivers. I mean really....COME ON! How many times during the start of the winter year do you hear on the radio about some highway car crash or of a transport jack knifed in a ditch. Youd think we'd have learned by now but nooooooooo. people with their winter radials think they own the road and cut off the road plowrs and blah blah blah....please. Seriously. All snow is good for is to moisturize the earth to help those in the agricultural sector cultivate in the spring/summer. Oh yeah and snow cones....woopity freakin' doo.

OK well. Miss November will be announced next week

I don't know all that much about Megan but from what I do know is she has been very cordial and open. We've chatted twice and I have grown to learn that she really sticks by her friends through good and bad. She is also practical. If you look at her photos don't you get that sense that she looks like an all around sweetheart. Guess its the way I see the expression on her face. Well. I don't know if she will see this or be informed of this but I would hope that if she does that she may be willing to give a little info about herself. One foxy lady.

The 6th T Woman of the Week!

Montreal is the home of Maria. Although I have chatted with her on occasion I can tell she is inquisitive and curious. Always interested in what others have to say and grow from it. Yes, she definitely sticks to what she believes in and believes its an integral part that everybody do their best in whatever it is they peruse. With the addition of thos eys that can look into your very soul you have a dynamite woman here!

I stressed before I know a little of her but not that much. If word gets around to her about this I would hope she wouldo provide a little more about herself.

Movie: Tron. Made in 1982 this movie is probably the leader of all movies when it comes to cult followings. Revolutionary for it being the first movie ever to use computer generated imagery it opened the gates to finally show what computers could do for cinema. Yes, compared to now its aged but its still important. The story is basic. A man gets sucked into a computer and must play games to survive while overthrowing the powers that be. the soundtrack is fantastic as well. I literally and I do mean LITERALLY could write ad infinitum about this film and the score but to keep it short all I will say is if this wasn't released you would not have some of the films like today i.e. Avatar. Also, since its premiere in 1982 it will finally have a very anticipated sequel released called "Tron Legacy" and millions, no word of a lie, millions are waiting to see it.

Interesting facts:

The soundtrack for Tron was delayed for release on CD by 18 years

Finding a used copy of this film to buy, especially this edition will average over 100$

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences denied it from being nominated for any awards as they considered using computers as "cheating" when it came to movie making.

and many many more.

If you watch this film and don't find at least one technical tidbit you like ...key word is technical ..... then you have an extremely questionable taste for movies. As for the acting, it's at par , nothing spectacular.



CD: Control X - Atom Jack An independent release with very limited pressings it was at one time only available to be bought in California but as underground radio stations kept playing their tunes word got around to mainstream stations and one of their songs "The System" eventually became a hit on the club charts.As a whole its a continuous mix of electro beats that pushes the limits as to just how far altering sounds can be made with synths.


Normally I'd write a blog but as the year is ending I'm going to see how the poll goes in regards to what may or may not happen in 2011. I'll be writing ideas on other threads to get an understanding what the future holds.

Though there is little time left until the month is up I will announce Miss December next week and along the way I'm going to also provide some insight on the calendar. Call it a year in review. Ahh Alasia. What a wonderful way to end off 2010. One of the most caring people you will ever know. She likes everyone unconditionally. She loves the arts whether it is film, theater, painting/illustration if its art related shes into it. If you want to talk about responsibility what I can say is that she has a remarkable understanding of whats important. She possesses a great admiration for humanity. Indeed an absolutely astonishing woman,
