perhaps I should rephrase myself. it's not that I havent' had a good time, there's been a number where it was all laughs and smiles, it's more that i haven't had a memorable one. i dont dislike the place by any means. and amanda and todd, personally, shouldn't have anything to be distressed about. people go there for many reasons and find what it is they're looking for.
with it really being one of the only tranny directed clubs, i just think it has alot more potential then what it's at right now.

Like Lisa I never went there to work. I always went there to get away and enjoy a few drinks and hang out. I stopped going when they stopped doing shows. I just am not into the sex parties it just does nothing for me. I wish they would start doing shows again. I liked watching some of the comedic queens and drag kings perform! It was fun!

Being someone who has never been to goodhandy's, I can only comment on my experiences at at regular "strip clubs" and the like, and to be honest the atmosphere adn the vibe inside of these places is not necessarily condusive to simply going up and chatting a girl up. The girls are there to make money, and the men are there either to spend money or to watch. It is obviously not a comfortable situation for most fo the men, myself included, who have frequented places like these. You are going to be payed for your services, so why are you getting uptight when the men are not entirely in a comfort zone that allows them to be chatty?

Ok so what the FUCK is up with all the guys that go on t-girl nights at goodhandys on mondays, tuesdays, wednesdays & thursday nights? Let me explain why i'm fucking pissed off right now & why i hate men so much. When ur a transsexual and u go to goodhandys club, the guys that admire & lust u so much, will not approach u and speak to u. Yup no joke, they rather u approach them and talk to them first. First off, generically speaking (and as someone has alluded to already) we're conditioned to behave in a certain fashion based on what is and is not allowed at conventional strip clubs. You don't touch the talent, you don't talk to the talent, you don't approach the talent. Secondly, as previously mentioned, the assumption exists that by approaching a girl at the club, the approachee is fully committed to engage in a financial transaction. The assumption might be wrong in some cases, but I would hazard a guess that the majority of the time it's not.
