Just wondering if any local ladies are heading west for the olympics. Maybe earn a little gold for yourselves.....

Well I cannot see it being worthwhile for them unless they already live there or have a place to stay. A search on Expedia shows there is only hotels in the outskirts of Vancouver at exorbitant prices.
On a search for hotels Feb 12-20 the Days Inn Metro show up at $577 per night. Metro is quite a ways from downtown, normally this is a $79 hotel.

Expedia also shows that there is mostly only cruise ship space available.
They have brought in Cruise ships to accomodate all sorts of things, like the police from the news clip I have below. Plus every hotel will have 100% capacity which means security will be high all round. Not too mention Vancouver is very serious about their city looking good to the world during the olympics, so hanky panky will be frowned on.
(I won't even check how much flights are and I imagine the they will be overbooked in and out of vancouver)

Plus it is hard to know what the demand might be at the Olympics.
There has not been one in Canada since 1988.
It is definitely a family type event so there most likely will be many families travelling together and many people coming to see their relatives compete. Plus I figure alot of countries have alot more tgirl escorts than Canada so that is not something people would be looking for out of this country. (if there is many Chinese, they are notoriously frugal tourists also and they do not frequent escorts much at all)

More than 15,000 police officers, Canadian Forces soldiers, and private security guards have started to arrive in Vancouver and Whistler to provide security for the Olympics, and should all be here by late January.
?Deployment is well under way,? Staff Sgt. Mike Cote of the Vancouver 2010 Integrated Security Unit said Monday. ?The full security workforce will be in place by the end of the month.?
Security for the Winter Games will be provided by 6,000 police officers, both municipal and RCMP, with 118 different departments from across Canada; 4,500 Canadian Forces troops; and 5,000 private security officers.
Most of the police officers and soldiers will be staying in three cruise ships docked at Ballantyne Pier, which are expected to arrive in the city by the end of the week.

Vancouver is usually quite affordable in the winter.
        Not this year.
