Yes, everyone survived, only 25 people taken to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

There is speculation if lightning strike just as the aircraft touched down. Apparently when the reverse thrusters and brakes were applied the aircraft started slewing back and forth across the runway. There was tremendous amount of rain coming down at the time, so hydro-planing is a significant possibility compounded by the fact that he touched down a good 200 yards farther down the runway tan normal so less runway to work with to attempt to stop.
