No they are not made with the same ingredients. The makers of Cialis e.g. are never going to sell their product at a cut rate to another seller so they can sell it to the public at a lower price cutting into the business of the original maker. Why would they do that?

What does happen is that the generic makers set up their own laboratories to manufacture a compund that may be similar to the original or it may not be even close. Most important, the knock-off supplier does not have the same quality contol or testing facilities so you will never know exactly what is in that pill.

Also, most of the content of any pill/tablet/capsule is a filler. For Cialis 20 mg e.g. is 20/1000 of a gram which is way too small a quantity to package so a filler is used to bulk it up up so that it can be more easily handled, compressed into a tab or filled in a capsule. The filler may have as much responsibilty for side effects as the active ingredient. Common fillers are lactose and talcum powder etc. etc. This filler is generally what makes street drugs such a problem.

So now then, there are two problems to worry about. The purity of the active ingredient and the substance used to dilute it.

The Canadian Generic makers are using the identical process used by the original producer because the patent controlling it's production has expired, so it is legal for them to do so. Also in Canada the Generic makers are large government approved and controlled laboratories. Overseas they are ??

The Indian government does control it's own drug industry but some sellers from India e.g. can import stuff made in other countries - so who knows who makes it? Overseas generic producers do not have access to the original patent and make do as best they can to copy it. More importantly, many of the overseas drugs are produced in counties other than where they are sold from, where there may be no controls whatsoever.

The seller mentioned in this thread does indeed sell Cialis/Viagra/Levitra made by the original maker, perhaps under license, but genuine nevertheless. With shipping etc though it is more expensive than that purchased here. The main benefit of buying the original from India is that no Dr's. prescription is needed. The bulk of there business is the cheap knock-offs!

If you order from India see if you can get it ordered from Cipla Pharmaceuticals. It's one of the best in India and their meds have been approved by the WHO and FDA among others. Just because it's India doesn't mean they don't have world-class pharmas). They sell to over 170 countries. Cilpa sells their meds in Canada through various firms including Novopharm. They make their own Sildenafil and Tadalafil generics. I will likely procure from them next time.
