There's no way Luongo is not starting vs Germany. Brodeur was given a big game to win, and he couldn't do it. That 2nd goal that U.S. scored 20 seconds after Canada's tying goal was a huge mistake Brodeur made.

Brodeur is one of the best all-time, but I don't see how you don't start Luongo.

On the bright side, Germany is a team Canada should handle easily and it will give them one more game to gel.

As bad as that was, I still give them a solid chance of winning the gold. I think they match up well against Russia and hopefully if they win that they will get some team cohesion.

It was a good game, as all Canadian-American games are. Miller played very well. I don't think he was as big a factor as Brodeur and how much he changes his playing style. I thought I was watching Hasek for a moment. I hope Canada doesn't overlook Germany because they will lose if they do, just like in '06 when they lost to the Swiss 2-0. One game at a time.

pronger poses much more skill and experience than phaneuf will ever. phaneuf would only bring more penalties to canada. i feel the blame of that game should go to brodeur. i think he forgot what sport he was playing.

also it really bugged me to see corey perry as the fifth man as they yanked brodeur.
