    To quote Rick James:

'Cocaine is a hell of a drug.'
    I got soul...and I'm super bad!

      Love you to death...

Prince of the Godless (a poem by Shadowtrap in tribute to P. Steele.)
...because you made suicide fun and exiting.
      You are so beautiful,
my black hearted prince of despair.
      I shall tie this noose,
and hang before you in vanquished love.
      Send me to the wolves,
Watch me as they devour my body...
The body that longed for you.
I will walk oblivions eternal shore,
to see your eyes in the distance.
      My dark prince,
      I love you to DEATH.

Peter Steele and his band Type O Negative first came to my attention back in 1994 with their version Black Sabbath on the Nativity in Black CD a tribute to Black Sabbath.I had originally bought the CD because of my love for Black Sabbath and White Zombie who did an excellent version of Children Of the Grave. It still remains one of my favorite CD's in my rather large collection because of all the Heavy Metal artist that paid tribute to Black Sabbath.I will always remember this is where Peter Steele and Type O Negative were first brought to my attention.

              Good shit.
I grew up with his music and back in the day. His music was something I could relate to on a personal level. My favorite song is Summer Breeze but the video is disabled for embedding.
As a matter of fact, most of the videos are.
Thank you for this, my friend.

"Well I've got no more reason to live
And I've got no more love to give
Tonight's the night, I'll paint the town red
I'll put another hole through my head
              Unjustifiable existence
              Kill yourself now

Now I feel the weight of the world on my back
I see the future, the future looks black
It's what I must do I have no reservations
              Ain't talking 'bout self-preservation
              Unjustifiable existence
              Gravity
              crushing me
              crushing me
              crushing me

Yeah I feel something pulling me down
forcing me between myself and the ground
Of all the nightmares that ever came true,
I think that gravity is you
              Unjustifiable existence
              Gravity
              crushing me
              crushing me
              crushing me"

yeah Nativity in Black is one of thee best tribute albums EVER. Love it to death was also on the Bride of Chucky soundtrack, He did have some good stuff, wasnt too into the last album as a whole but like a few songs Black no.1 etc. They always seemed to put a gem out every once in awhile, its too bad, first Nirvana, Alice in Chains, now T.O.N, definatly a loss.

Dam.........this is a sad day. I was just listening to some Type 0 Negative last week. My favorites songs are , "Life is killing me", and "Black no.1" is such a good tune. Rest in peace.
