TGRL FM Radio
There are those who know this already but to those who do not let me say that nearly 8 years ago I was a radio dj/personality. I worked the midnight hour and what was fun about it was that I had creative control meaning I could literally play anything and say anything I wanted. The station I was a part of was an 'undeground' station. It was funded but the reason they were called "underground" was because they didn't play anything popular, rather whatever th dj wanted. I did this for 4 years until I found my other career. During my time there i had a few conversations with musicians from various music websites and sometimes would have live one on one chats on air via patching them through the phone to air. there was one thing I had to do every hour and that was talk a total of 10 minutes. It didn't matter what it was as long as i said something.
Honestly. I've been thinking about going back to doing radio on a part time basis but much has changed over the past 8 years. With technology making it so easy to program a playlist let alone to find information on topics the whole idea of being spontaneous like it was way back way is almost non existent.
Now I am not sure if I would do an online program or go back to an actual station in a building where I once began but if it does happen my question to you is would those of you here listen to a show revolving (most of the time) around the community?
I've thought about this and I know every little bit about the rules set forth by the CRTC. If I was to say something for example of something online at a particular site involving a person or event I could NOT provide concrete details unless consent was given BUT I could give broad generalities. Add to that the content of whats being said or referred to must be considered "relatively decent". However if i wanted to talk about topics like say "fashion" then thats no problem. As for music, well, everything and anything would be played
Again this is just an idea and in all likelihood this is possibly not going too happen soon however depending on the comments posted here who knows what could transpire.

Therefore I doubt that it could it be successful unless it was to be broadcast on a nationally accessible network? CBC? Al Jazeerah, new in Canada is possibly looking for material to fill a lot of airtime though.

The chance of it working on a local station to a local audience would likely be rather slim because of the very limited audience and therefore, the unlikely probability of securing a local sponsor willing to pay for the air time.

free time is always great!

If your show catches on possibly it will be syndicated and then available to more communities across the country.
