Bush would be wading in that water with some brawny
paper towels trying to soak that shit up. He wouldn't let
that liquid gold go to waste like that.

Seriously: I live on the gulf literally and this is devastating not only
to the eco system which is allready bad enough in the gulf. But it hurts
so many people not just the sea life but fishermen, oil workers etc etc
BP is running commercials down here about how they have already given
out over 18 million in moneys to help those effected trying to somehow
curb puplic oppinion. NOT GOING TO WORK

It's very scary seeing all the pipes and equipment that are just under a mile (5,000ft) underwater.

It is truly a shame for the Gulf of Mexico. It will never be the same again. To this day, oil from the Exxon Valdez spill is still washing up on shore.

Geeez, it seems the gulf coast just can't catch a break. the last 5 years have been utter hell for them.

Anyone else wanna go down and volunteer to help with the cleanup efforts?

They could have installed an emergency shutoff valve deeper down, but they cheaped out.
There should have been laws forcing them too.

            It's happened before

Good questions. As I have read so far, it is really deep and they must use robots and secondly this stuff is gushing out at a tremendous force.
