I know the game is boring, but what can we do they're the last team to battle it out in the finals, I was really rooting for Brazil and Germany to be in the finals.
But at least new faces has been given a chance to shine, and I think that what sports is all about.
Mandela's appearance is one poignant part I've been hoping to see and that's all good for me.
Till next time sucker fans...errr.. I mean soccer fans.

zzzzzzzzzz .... huh? Wut? someone won a soccer game? hmmm ... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Yes a game that millions around the world watched hence the most watched sport (as also the most played sport) on Earth.
In relation to Jenllani's comments about Spain winning the World Cup, you are right, it was a boring match and that's all because of the way Spain plays the game. No style and no substance. They keep the ball as much as they can and shoot when they feel its appropriate. They are not an admired squad because of their approach but I the end it's not a bad thing they lost. At least we didn't have to see the same old same old win again in the likes of Brazil, Argentina, Germany and Italy. Finally, another nation took the title
Did anyone see the bad call where the Netherlands kicks their free kick, very obviously goes off a Spain player and the ref gives the ball to Spain? Netherlands should have had a corner kick. But instead, Spain comes down, and the biggest diver on their team gets a goal? What a tainted sport. And of course the breakaway for Netherlands best player that he gets held. Not sure I'd be proud of my team for winning that way.
But the Netherlands did get away with a karate kick to the chest that should have been a red card.
That was a lot of soccer watched for a terrible final.

Yeah I saw that too. Then again you will find most sports now to be "tainted" Ah well, it's over and done with. I just hope that Fifa considers implementing their new ideas in upcoming tournaments such as touchline technology and instant replay to name a few.

theres nothing tainted about the game. we had a very good team. nor do i need to remind u who won the euro cup 2 years ago.just accept they r a good team and they played well.now lets all hugVIVA ESPANA!!!OLE!!
I would love to see and hear your comparison as to what's NOT boring..
Well I can think of a lot more very exciting things to do and watch in life than sitting around watching sports. (watching & doing Alyssa would be 1 of them )
I'm not just knocking the game of soccer alone, hockey, football, baseball ... all a big yawn to me.
I'm just saying that sitting around with eyes glued to a tv set in hopes that your favourite team of overpaid boneheads is the winner ... that it will somehow change and improve your life and find you true happiness & joy ... sorry, I just don't get it.
1 year from now, will all the excitement over this game still be remembered? Never have been a spectator sports fan personally, never will. If that's your thing ... go for it.

its like watching magic, very entertaining. we don't just watch it so we can be happy when our team wins, thats just a bonus. clearly you don't admire athletics as much as the rest of us do. but everyone has their own interests.
in regards to spain winning, they play the most boring style i've ever seen, like the new jersey devils with lou lamerello. but it worked, and thats what matters.
the refereeing in that game was terrible, but that was a theme that was all too common in the tournament. perhaps UEFA and FIFA will take this tournament as a learning lesson. if they don't, i will have no choice but to think that these tournaments are rigged.
