Any advice for TRANS FRIENDLY JOBS?

Im currently looking to get into school... but I am also looking to get a job to keep my days busier. I need some form of routine in my life cause right now im in that party every day all day kinda thing.. and its getting lame now.

I gave up on searching for jobs because I never felt comfortable with my self back then & Always felt discriminated against when it came down to the ID saying male and me in the appearance of female. Cause i've never been able to get a job since my transition! I worked at tim hortons as a boy , And a retail store.

& I am smart , intelligent , great with computers, awesome customer service()
Can any body help me out here ?! xx

when I quit working when I was still married .I work't a women's shelter it was really rewarding and all the ladies there were to busy trying to get there life together to even care if I was trans. I think you would be good at that kinda job

Keep in mind if you apply for any job, employers are not allowed to discriminate against you.
In a perfect world you should be able to do whatever job you might be qualified for.
If you find you are being discriminated against, I would take those people to task.......Report them.

Heres to you finding a job if not for anything to create some balance &
fullfillment that jobs provide besides the obvious $ having a steady gig

I've had a couple jobs that have ended in human rights violations. One is still in limbo for my compensation but thankfully we are protected by the beautiful bill of rights. Word of advice tho, avoid gyms!!!!! just based upon my experience. as I've done reception and sales for a few. quite honestly retail, cosmetic/aesthetics and anything in the service industry (ie waitressing, bartending) has all worked really well for me.
as well as anything with a computer. essentially who you are doesn't matter, it's what you can do that does.

Easier said than done in most cases. The burden of proof is generally on the person making the accusation. It's hard to prove unless you have something obvious (like a bigoted remark). Otherwise an employer could claim somebody was underqualified, overqualified, etc and there isn't anything anybody can do about it.

Your best bet, to avoid discrimination, is with a larger company. The bigger the better. The reason is that bigger companies have developed better policies and practices because they can't afford to give off a negative impression. Give government jobs a look. The City of Toronto is always hiring and has probably the most fair hiring practices you'll find anywhere.

check the company`s anti discrimination policies, if that even exist. If the company is gay friendly, they are more likely to be trans friendly as well, but not always
